Rk100, 27 Apr 2020Let me guess, you think android an open software is safer? ... moreWhat phone you have and what phone you don't doesn't matter.
Both OS are as secure as the users using it.
An idi*t using either is vulnerable by default.

Both OS are not secure out of the box. So the average user is fu*ked.
Atleast on Android, you can take security in your own hands. Not so much on iOS.

Shui8, 23 Apr 2020So Trump Administration, care to ban your own country brand? Not from USA*. Difference is that apple doesn't have a history of stealing info and sending it back to china or wherever. Sure apple won't even allow the CIA into an iPhone used by a criminal. Difference between huawei (any other Chinese company TBH) is that they don't share/sell info and they offer some decent protection for their users, such as sign in with apple, where apple send the app of website a ransom different email instead of yours so you wont be as vulnerable as simply giving you email. I use this feature for tiktok who have been know to be shady with private info.

Anonymous, 23 Apr 2020Difference is Android is open and no one cares if you root ... moreThey actually don't lock your device, who told you that? so you clearly don't have a newer iPhone. You can jailbreak your device and it can revert back to normal if you simply restart you device, only if it is semi-tethered. If you can revert back to normal, is warranty will NOT be voided.

Despicable, no wonder when they cant leave what aint broke alone! the next release will be full of pot holes, only for them to start all over again at the next ios release, the blame will be put on consumers for having an "outdated" device.

The so-called patch is in the beta version, which is yet to be released to devices. So Apple has not patched the flaw yet, as more testing needs to be done. Misleading headline.

Blutbad-fuchsbau, 23 Apr 2020Apparently, even Apple can be hacked. The F*ppening anyone?Do iOS jailbreak considered as hacking? That's not much difference to Android root, isn't it? I never use an iOS device, but I do hear of that jailbreak thing.

There are more reports of iPhones getting hacked than any other phone. Why people think they're secure is a result of clever marketing and the US deflecting attention to Huawei phones even though they're not available in the US.
