I think I'll wait for the OnePlus 8T. The T variant has always been a much needed refinement of the initial release.

It's true that the poll isn't perfect, but it doesn't mean that they're being biased, people really have different opinions about the 8 Pro, but the vanilla 8 is clearly getting some hard critics from the majority of voters, as the phone is overpriced and offers no majore improvement from the 7T.

Not just Oneplus, most manufacturers are adding some useless options that you would use rarely and omitting major necessary ones like SD card slots or 3.5mm jack just to increase profit.

If this site had any credibility, the original "poll" and this following article would have been panned for the obvious reasons.
It's a good thing that people know GSMArena is not a place to visit for objective articles, so luckily you'll never have to deal with the long term blowback of selling out.

Voters in last week’s poll did not go easy on the new OnePlus duo – the two phones were left in the shadow of the 7T generation.
And:
The OnePlus 8 took a beating – half of voters say they prefer the 7T, it turns out that S865 chipset with 5G connectivity and the slightly larger battery are not worth the loss of the telephoto camera and the far higher price.
Yes, the poll definetly did not give the option of NO, NO ONEPLUS PHONES AT ALL, but like you just did, anybody can read the comments and tell that you are really angry. Even so, GSMA probably didn't intentionally think that even oneplus fans would abandon oneplus entirely, as the oneplus 7T pro, in my opinion, is still a great deal.
And another line:
Most people seem to be happy with the 7T Pro, which is quite capable and cheaper to boot.

My problem, and that of others, is that 1. the options were flawed, so if you did not like the phones, you couldn't let yourself be heard, and 2. Despite the overall negative response in the poll last week on GSMArena, they didn't make a mention of it.
If we don't speak out, they will continue to not listen to us and indoctrinate others into buying a phone that is in essence great, but definitely not what Oneplus used to stand for (Never Settle). Oneplus is asking too much money for a phone that is not without compromises and plagued by issues. They are not listening to the people anymore, just like GSMArena. Again, this poll should not be the opinion of GSMArena, but ours.

And I really am not understanding what GSMArena is guilty of at all? Everybody is free to have their very own opinions, man. Even though GSMArena thinks this is a pretty good deal, you don't have to, as many people typing in the comments don't. It's not like they are ignoring your opinions, or have to say "ignore this phone, too overpriced", etc.

The haters are in full force today. Half of them can't afford the new OnePlus phones anymore. The other half never liked OnePlus brand to begin with.
Personally, I'm not really a OnePlus fan, but i liked the 7 Pro last year because it was pretty good for the price, and i like the 8 Pro this year because it's impressive all around. When you add more features to something, the price will also go up. It's expected.
So all things considered, i think OnePlus has made a great phone, so it will sell, maybe to a new userbase, but it will.
