this kind of practice are common in business.. for example, realme.. lots of their models based on SD 665 and similar in shape.. and also sometime they just replace only SoC ..like realme 5, 5i, 5 pro they are basically the same

If they were concerned with removing these huge ugly bezels, I might even buy an iPhone SE.. it's really a joke to see that they just changed the battery connector, the camera and the processor. (It explains why the speed looks underclocked on the Benchmarks)

I have a 3 month old Xiaomi Mi Note 10 here, which barely gets security updates once every three months and is still on Android 11. With a ton of issues on the camera and the fingerprint unlock front, which are not being addressed.

Yeah, you get what you pay for and Apple is definitely worth it.

Perfomance matters but not in numbers, but in feels. Even with less ram and underclocked processors, iOS is so optmized that it might even overperforms some better androids.

Updating the iPhone 8 every two years would be great. $399 is a great entry level price. When it's a year old reduce the price to $299. Then after two years bring out a new model again at the full $399. I'm starting to see the pattern here. Apple are so predictable but that's ok.

This is a good move. Guys thibk if samsung can do the same with galaxy s7 or something and SD 865SD with a 399USD price they will definitely do so. But they won't and they can't.

This is only can achieved by Apple. Love or hate them they are the best when it comes to Marketing.

Can you imagine how many of the cases and accessories there are out there! All those tempered glass screens and screen film. Way more of that lot than stuff in Apple's warehouse. So a win all around.

Sure this might be a sneaky way for apple to re-brand an old phone by giving it the A13 chip however, think of the environmental impact this is going to have, they already have the parts for the Iphone 8 lying around in a warehouse and a few tweaks to a battery connector and motherboard and they have the phones half way there without pumping out even half as much emissions to get there. This has got to be apples most environmental friendly phone to date. Please correct me if i am well off thinking this.
