I would suggest the Mi 10 Pro if you guys bricked your Mi A3 from the latest update, it's the cheapest flagship worthy Android phone around

Why people update anything then?
For phones, you update because it brings a lot of new things to your phone, improve certain things (like battery or camera, even day to day usage), fix some small problems from previous updates, etc. Of course this things happen if the company is ok and true to their customers and make good updates. From my experience, Apple does a very good job on this, Samsung and Huawei sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Still better than to have a phone in 2020 with "Android Gingerbread" or I don't know. What is the point in having a smartphone then? Buy a phone with buttons and that's it.

The thing is, Xiaomi is the one ruining Android One's reputation for everyone else. The only thing consistent about Xiaomi is how they manage to take their eff-ups to a whole new level each year -- and that's three years in a row!

AnonD-833125, 24 Apr 2020And to think I was planning to get this phone almost 1 year... moreI recommended the Mi A series to both my parents and sister (which seems like a mistake looking back) The reason you buy an Andrid One device is for the stock android skin. Both my parents and sister dont upgrade unless they have to and for them it's easier to transistion from stock android to a custom rom. One UI is fine (not my favorite) but in my case it just means i would have to explain them again how things work just because it looks different

i have a phone with Android 8.1 & everything works fine on it, @ll apps works normally
i never update my phones, for a years i change devices, but never update them.

And to think I was planning to get this phone almost 1 year ago.
I choose in the end the Samsung A20e, received recently stable Android 10, and One UI 2.0.
Probably that is why people have more trust in companies like Samsung, Apple or Huawei. They are not perfect, but at least they have better costumer support and better products in the long run.

If you want a cheap android one phone, buy the pixel 4a. Xiaomi sucks.
