I have the same issues with my 1+8 pro. There are people reporting they ordered three phones with different manufacture date by weeks and all three phones have issues.
They promissed green tint issue fix in next OTA. Well, next OTA just came and green tint persist. This is serious and no official statement from oneplus.

Code016, 25 Apr 2020I would never consider 3D facial recognition as a buying fa... moreNot necessarily, it depend on the implementation, 3D Facial recognition can be a lot more secure than any other methodes...
But that's the thing, why only one biometric when you can have two or more ?
This mean, those who prefer facial unlock (many use the not secure 2D camera based one as they prefer the ease of use of facial unlock over other methods) can have it in a secure way (not the best still better than nothing or than a really insecure one), but you can also combine both and have something which is exponentially more secure than each of them alone.

The Oppo Find X have one, but the tech is old, this isn't a pop up but a pop up/slider hybrid and the phone isn't the newest (I already have a OnePlus 6t, not worth changing) nor have most features that are considered regular nowaday.
That's why I advocate this, to have the chance to one day have it (most peoples doesn't realize how comments can be influential, that's why I hate when I talk about a good tech that me and other peoples want and someone come and say that this isn't useful).

No need to be rude, I am probably older than you.
And actually, that's what I'll endup doing, my implementation of biometric will be near impossible to force :
*3D Facial unlock using IR camera and dot projector, but also UV camera (there are so many skin details available in UV) with a IR & UV flash, two camera for stereo vision to gather more informations, and a ToF scanner which basically will scan with a high precision a randomly selected part of the face where many details are available.
Combine that with a living skin detection like Qualcomm and Trinamix developed and an Iris scanner (actually mainly here for eye tracking) and you get a powerful combinaison.
*On the other side, I'd take the Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max or an equivalent with some software upgrades such as skin density, veins mapping with blood density detection and Distal phalanx recognition, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner can gather all those data, making itself also near impossible to force outside a lab.

Of course some optimisation should be added, first, biometric should go through a dedicated chip that can block the phone from being reinstalled, making such phone worthless to steal, way more fingerprint allowed than currently on Android (for a single user, this is enough, but when you want your family to be able to unlock your phone too, the number is way too limited) and multiple faces, with learning and evolution capabilities, meaning when you change through time (weight gain/loss, teen growing, tattoos, scars etc) it can follow your evolution, but also gather more and more precise data with time making it more secure the more you use it...

Some smart security level can be applied, partial face detection, single finger and other unlocking method give the lowest level while full face with possible unlocking help sign (wink, smile or anything the user choose) and 2 finger authentification give the highest level, some sensitive Android feature would be only accessible with a certain level, meaning you can still use your phone in most situation but it stay secure for any administrative tasks.

And you get a device that basically no one can force access to.

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2020I don't understand how people really like LED type screen..... moreThere are no issues with 99.9% LED, OLED, P-OLED, AMOLED screens at all. This is just occasional manufacturers fault. These kind of things happen time to time. I remember Huawei Mate 20 Pro had similar issue. Still OLED screens are the best. LCD / IPS screens is technology of the past.

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2020I don't understand how people really like LED type screen..... morenormal viewing on amoled regarding brand are way less stress and strain to the eyes... your eyes wont feel as tired as you view LCD on a longer time basis. And LED tend to have much accurate and punchier color output, which most people appreciate other than OCD people.. and yes, i have used alot LCD and LED phone. No matter how superior LCD is, the shifting in viewing angle affect too much on color and when u view LCD for a long time, your eyes easily have tears when u blink your eyes, and such problem does nt exist with LED.

S20 Ultra had just the tint issue which got rectified by an update and sure OnePlus does the same too. But the other issues? They seem to be absent in Samsung's and iPhones!

Well, well, well this turns out to be a bigger problem for OnePlus! A lot older OLEDs displaying such issues may be a given, but hardly a month old phone having so many problems, shows how much OnePlus is lagging behind Samsung and Apple in delivering truely TOTL products. Even the display of Note10+, released last year is running great, compared to the latest and greatest on OnePlus! Heck, even my 13 month old S10 Plus hasnt got these issues, and is as good as new. Forget about S20s. Lack of proper testing may have been OnePlus's issue here. It's better for them to sort out these before eyeing for S20 and iPhone 11 Pro's market.
