    LilPhone, 25 Apr 2020It's because you're living in India where you get high taxe... moreIt's not like apple manufactures most of the older phones in india and they don't have manufacturing capacity to make phones like rest of the companies(i mean seriously look at oneplus 8 price when compared to rest of the world) and since they don't think the fact that a value for money phone will be hit in india baffles me(Also the fact that Iphone XR was available with discount only 3500Rs(around 50$) more than iphone SE but due to iphone SE launch they won't discount iphone XR that much now)also the fact that other than google and maybe motorola all other manufactures do make phones in india

      In India pixel4a will be the biggest looser.

      Reasons -
      - iPhone SE 2020 and OnePlus 8 both are offering phones with latest &best of SoC and latest OS, with almost same price tag.
      - pixel4a will have latest OS but not the best SoC.

      I am neither Apple or OnePlus fan boy nor I hate Pixels.

      My comments are based on simple logic of an indian buyer's mindset. All three of them (iphone, OnePlus and Pixel4a) will be in same price bracket. So when we look at what do we get for the money we pay, SoC and OS are the first thing that strikes. SoC and OS are soul elements of a phone and a buyer expects latest, best SoC and OS while buying a new phone. Screen, battery, refresh rates, camera modules and megapixels etc. are all secondary ( they need good SoC and OS to perform).

      Google will have to work out a strong strategy for 4a in India, where Pixel 4 and 4XL are not allowed to be released. 4a is sole flag bearer of Google OS in pure form.

              Out of USA don't worth even consider it. You'll be a lot more satisfied with an Android phone at those foreign prices that with this small mediocre phone. As if we can't install latest ROMs we want in out unlocked and rooted Android phones. We are free to do whatever we want with our phones. You are not allowed to do that with iPhones legally. We have a lot of more options to haver our system uo to date.

                I.....honestly don't understand what the previous 2-3 comments left on this article.
                "...get a proper grammar and english class".....uhm....what? How 'bout you check your own staement and what it's actually implying first.

                And about Apple seemingly looking weak for going down market, most common people WOULD say and assume with that idea....but it's actually a cash cow for Apple by this point.....and it's quite smart of a move from them.

                It's pays a lot to have multiple perspectives especially from Apple's point of view for more market share and profit.....a home-run of profits from an already payed for patent, manufacturing process of the same exact fame, and most carryover components from the iPhone 8.

                  Kinda sad still not many people see that you are not only buying to the ecosystem, but also software support for 4-5 years for that kind of money. As good as midrange Android phone are, most if not all will only get 2 years of updates, 3 if you are lucky. Buying last year's phone is an alternative, but then you will only get a year more on software. There are lots of review on YouTube already so you can see it for yourself.

                  Lots of my friends still use an old iPhone and most of then are very interested in this. Not to mention with economic downturn coming in, none of us are interested with $1000+ phones anymore. Most of them starting to look to midrange phone more. Most of you guys will laugh at the specs of SE and start comparing it will Android phones but let's be honest, how much an average joe care about all of that. They want something they are familiar with, decent camera, and most importantly affordable. While Android phones were throwing big numbers in screen, cameras and 5G which in turn jacked up the price, Apple came with small, fast and (mostly) affordable phone and caught them off guard. This is a really bizarre situation to be honest.

                    2) i got your point but its not only you to much persong changing smartphones with2 years cicle and its bad that you loosing to much money
                    3) i dnt go to xiaomi bcause first of its quality iphone is crafstmanship with top brand i dnt give xiaomi 1000 euro. Oneplus was one company that i liked until now with close 1000 pricetag.
                    4) i play to much games i dnt want my 1500 euro smartphone strt throttling after 20 min of heavy gaming and start auto adjusting brigthness cause it became hot.
                    5) not really 60 hz is mainstream now and apple have best comunication with apps best fps control and best performance compared to any android check youtube

                      The price is more than its self. I think people now understood that apple has to decrease its prices..

                          Dont buy the S20 then. Go get Oneplus or Xiaomi or whatever.

                          Though I must say A13 is a great chipset but it doesnt matter under an 60Hz display.

                            so tell me now why im traped i buyed bad product or its not performing better with any android also it cost less than s20 ultra fall of the year.

                              I would happily buy other companies phones if they made phones with smaller dimensions.
                              I bought my last iPhone SE almost 5 years ago purely because I was sick of phones that were half the size of my head... and growing with every generation.
                              Yes. I've had my phone for 4.5 years. I've replaced one screen and have debated replacing the charging port and battery rather than buy a new phone, but I'm trapped with compatability issues and need a modern phone for work, So I'll buy the new SE because I need a new phone and I hate that every other phone has become a phablet.
                              I wish there were more like me making demand on the market, because bigger screens are stupid. If you want to watch a movie on a device, get a tablet. I want my phone to fit in my pocket.

                                  In India, At 47k, only Apple brand boys will be buying this for show off.

                                  Others would be more than happy with the Galaxy S10e which has bigger screen, better multiple cameras, better battery life, faster charging, higher IP rating, better looking modern design combined with the most premium non-handicapped ecosystem on smartphones.

Im living in france and i can found note 10 plus for 650 all new condition without problem,same price as iphone xs max that came year before note. 11 pro max cost 900-950. This is one of the most important think for me not to buy android anyday
