OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro have sold out in China, company shifts production to resume sales

24 April 2020
The OnePlus 8 Pro is unsurprisingly the more popular of the two, but the vanilla model is doing quite well too, says CEO Pete Lau.

Assembled in China - I cannot avoid that for most of the Apple models, but then Apple phones are way wayyy above my budget anyways. That way, Samsung and Nokia flagships are priced at human levels compared to iPhones.
I never said my favourite is Apple, that's your assumption anyways.

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2020You can't be serious about LG, right?I am. I have an LG and now that it has run it's course of life, I would buy another LG or Samsung or Apple or Nokia. I still like using a proper earphone so 3.5mm jack is important. LG does give me that even in my list of perference. Versatile camera, good display and superb audio. :)

PlayerDead, 24 Apr 2020Without an exact number it is easy to boast. There are currently around 600,000 reservations for it in China on the largest online retailer Jindong so it definitely is quite popular. It was similar with the 7pro when it launched though. Higher end phones seem to be very popular for about a month after release in China until the hype dies down and the next big release happens

As long as they don't share the exact numbers, it's just a marketing move.

Maybe they only had 100 phones in the whole country. Of course that would sell out quickly.

                      everyone knows why!!

No one believes with a SANE MIND that the OP8 series is a hot item and selling out like the next-gen consoles with nothing special about it and comes with an extorted price tag in the most fruitful nations.

                        Fake news!

Sadly, this will sell in India for what they have prices it at. I feel very sorry for EU and US for even looking at this phone and then seeing that the prices are horrible to say to the least. I am from India but with current sentiment, I would not even touch a OP or Oppo or RealMe or Xiaomi phone. My choice would be Apple or Samsung or LG.
