Anonymous, 25 Apr 2020OK, go for 8.3 Lol LG made Nokia look underpriced

They should have used a punch hole with minimal bezel and who will pay $700 for mid range camera and SoC? Design alone is not enough to win customers and this design is not even revolutionary

      OK, go for 8.3

I had hopes for this, too bad it's so damn wide. Pixel 4a, the future of Android competing with the iPhone SE is in your hands.

          Pricing will kill this phone

A bit pricey, especially in Europe.

                *sighs*

This doesn't come CLOSE to being better than the G-series. I was hoping for at least a 2K@90fps P-OLED panel with 4,500mAH battery, 16MP Wide-Angle, and telephoto cam.

Sorry LG. I can't. Not for that price. $500 is more the worth of that phone and that's still being a little pricey.

Anders, 25 Apr 2020"That said, don't be surprised if the Velvet gets a $699 pr... moreSamsung has both for midrangers

Usual from LG. Overpriced phone ( doubled the price ) They will keep their 0.1 % market share.

This device is there way of saying that if you want LG flagship and can't afford it, here is a cheaper one but with midrange chip.
The problem is the pricing not the device, the device is a flagship in every aspect but the processor.

i'm guessing it will coast a lot less outside korea, all electronics coast about twice as much in korea

                              I will pass.

"That said, don't be surprised if the Velvet gets a $699 price in the US, and around €700 to €800 in the EU. The phone should be in stores in mid-May"

LG - No one's buying our overpriced phones
Also LG - Doesn't lower their prices

It's a shame as I like the phones they make, they've kept the headphone jack and have some of the best audio output too. They have micro SD which helps future proof phones.

But $700 for a Snapdragon 756G..? No thanks

If the most exciting that LG can offer is an overpriced mid-range phone with 48 MP main rear camera with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 5 MP depth sensor for 675 - 800 euros... They are as dead as HTC or even Blackberry...
