                      The SoC is basically the single defining factor of a phones performance, bro.

                      5yrs of support is extremely important - I remember my first few smartphones were Androids and having to wait MONTHS and MONTHS after a major release to receive an update was incredibly annoying. Tie that with only receiving OS updates for a maximum of two years, do I really need to spell this out to you?

                            It's not like that have the luxury to "give a flying frack about the design".
                            The design and battery are obviously a compromise.
                            And why should the SOC in a phone with a small screen and battery be overestimated? Why should people only care about the processor and the "5y of support"?

                                Anonymous, 27 Apr 2020nah, they just hate it because it's apple poco F1 became f... morePoco F1 was sold at half price of this in India, still had a good camera for the price, stereo speakers, large screen, face recognition with IR sensor, headphone jack etc. It took a lot of designing cost to Xiaomi as older devices were different. This SE is just an iPhone 8 with underclocked A13 with no new features and design changes, still it costs way too much.
