Ashwin K, 29 Apr 2020Would have bought the OP8 Pro 12GB Model if it were priced ... moreWith that pricing, OnePlus will easily sell more than S20 in India given the price bump for all phones across the market.
Many ppl outside India are looking to import it from India coz of the relatively low price.

When oneplus was offering phones at 40k, they came with their own set of compromises.
The were the budget flagships, now they have produced a phone with no major compromises, total flagship specs and performance ready to lock horns with the premium segment.

Ashwin K, 29 Apr 2020Would have bought the OP8 Pro 12GB Model if it were priced ... moreOne of the greatest justification of the price increase of OnePlus is to weed out people like you. OnePlus as a brand simply doesn't want you as its customer with all the silly ignorance. If anything, I think the OnePlus 8 Pro is priced too low for the Indian Market this year. It should be priced comparable to that of US pricing.

AnonD-864704, 30 Apr 2020Ummm, not sure if you know this but RX100 is a legend bike ... more"no other Android phone is acceptable for carrying out official work(email access and so on). Offices provide iPhones only for such work."

Plz take your lies somewhere else. I also work in Corporate. No corporate company bans non Apple phones. We have multiple ppl using flagships from different companies.
You probably too influenced by what your peers think. These same ppl who think Chinese flagships are inferior without realizing that their Apple phone is also made in China.

I know ppl like that who look down on other non-Apple phones. Throughout the years, they have always been the laughing stock for everybody in the company whenever they need a proprietary charger to plug in, or when their phone couldn't utilize the full screen real estate or when their phone lacked waterproofing, or multiple cameras or big screens for that matter.

I come from corporate world and except Samsung, Google, LG and Nokia, no other Android phone is acceptable for carrying out official work(email access and so on). Offices provide iPhones only for such work. Apple provides the best of the service no matter which respectable org it is. Being in corporate myself, I wouldn't want to lose out on the fact that I am not permitted to do my work on my phone because I thought buying a cheap Chinese phone with 100 GBs of RAM is gonna help me.

Vaishakv4596, 30 Apr 2020I would have agreed with you but unlike past flagship phone... moreFalse.

Think about it for a minute. 5G implementation in India is at least 2 years from now and it will start in 9 states in specific cities only. You buy a 5G phone now that will be out of OS upgrade timeline in 2 years will leave you with a just another phone for which you paid super high. We don't even get decent 4G speeds all through and through. This is for those who will spend unnecessarily high time on mobile phones.

AnonD-864704, 29 Apr 2020OnePlus brand does not carry any value to be honest. More a... moreI'm sorry, but I have to disagree to that. The configuration , performance, stability and quality that Oneplus is offering is far far better than Samsung or Apple. Regarding the roadside Romeos, i see most of them having an Apple, followed by Samsung only after which Oneplus comes in. :).
The Oneplus community and customer care are the best I've ever experieced after being a used of Samsung, iPhone and also HTC. Never ever have I been so happy with a brand before OnePlus

The best overall phone was Essential PH-1, but the company is now dead...They were only one company who had provided all 2g/3g/4g bands available in world, not country specific which means that you can have same down/up speed across the globe.....Truly great company and phone by Andy Ruben......

Anonymous, 29 Apr 2020Umm, to be fair, Samsung is not offering you Snapdragon in ... moretrue, people in India are not much aware the game Samsung plays.....Only few know the real about it.. Xiaomi / Redmi is full with their default apps, Realme is using Mediatek, Oppo again heavy software, Vivo funtouch UI/os is hopeless.....Huawei / honor is w/o Play Store, Nokia nowhere near ans Sony ( good phones but extremely costly in comparison with OnePlus )........

Ashwin K, 29 Apr 2020Would have bought the OP8 Pro 12GB Model if it were priced ... moreI would have agreed with you but unlike past flagship phones from OnePlus, the OnePlus 8 Pro doesn't cut back on any flagship features. It has a better display than the Galaxy S20 series phones, IP rating, Wireless Charging, Reverse Wireless Charging, and a much better Camera compared to previous gen OnePlus flagships. I think the pricing by OnePlus this year is spot-on. It's incredible value for money, especially for us Indians.

OnePlus far better flagship and value for money compared to Samsung or Apple.

However, if you own a flagship Samsung or any Apple device, it does promote your success and yeah, who doesn't like show off. Even the roadside Romeos have a flashy OnePlus phone. That's the image of OP mostly. Affordable flagship and you lose your aura and brand value.
This has happened with brands like KTM here.

OnePlus 8 Pro with it's set of features and price is good to compete with Samsung since they are not providing you a premium experience for the price asked. I have used Samsung Exynos and not happy with the overall performance.

Would have bought the OP8 Pro 12GB Model if it were priced around INR. 40,000/-. Current asking price (INR. 59,000/-) is too much.

If spending this kind of money, with INR 11,000 more, I can get the S20. With the usual discounts on Indian credit cards and offers from E-tailers, the difference can be made even lesser, probably bringing the difference down to 5-6 thousand bucks.

59,999 for this Chinese BBK-factory phone? Good luck OnePlus, you're going to need it.
