    Wow... memories! My first Gingerbread device was the Galaxy Player 5.0. That thing was a beast! The last time I checked, it still worked like a champ. I think I still have it in a drawer somewhere...

      Too sad Playstore does not work anymore.

          i am using mi a3..that is Android one os..or stock Android...so i can feel that old os until now...😁😚😅

            I remembered my first ever Android smartphone in the shape of a Samsung Galaxy Y. At that time, I didn't really bother much about Android OS in the first place since I'm not that tech-savvy enough. But I did remember how smooth the overall performance was despite the phone's spec. It was also during this time where I started to get into the world of custom Android ROM flashing, particularly with CyanogenMod (now known as LineageOS). But came my second Android phone of Lenovo A916 and 4.4.2 KitKat, I began to ask myself about this whole Android OS thing especially with its performance. I stayed until 6.0.1 Marshmallow hoping for things to get better until I decided to leave Android in mid-2016 in favour of Windows Phone. That was unquestionably one of the best decision I have ever made in my life to this day, and I am definitely not regretting it an inch.

            P.S Now that my dad has got a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite, he left behind his old Samsung Galaxy Note 4 of which currently under my possession and now I'm back to the world of custom Android ROM flashing. But this time, I'm all for deGoogled FOSS alternatives such as microG and F-Droid. My Galaxy Note 4 is currently running Havoc-OS Pie and I actually do like its Pixel-like experience.

                Hah...it was on my Xperia Neo before....surprised on how smooth it is...until ICS update came up. Hate that android version.

                Luckily on that era almost everyone unlock their bootloader & rooted their phones, where custom ROMS, Kernel, baseband, themes are everywhere. Immediately back to using Gingerbread instead of ICS lol.

                  And the million version of gingerbread.... remember my htc phone got 2.3.6 and than jumped to 4.0.

                    Gb 2.3 on the right device, like an HTC HD 2,was very quick and usable..

                      My first android phone was running Android 2.3, Sony Xperia Play almost a decade later here I am running Android 10 on my OnePlus. Time goes by fast.

                        Still got and Xperia Ray that was on this version and then updated to ICS mainly for the shared partition ! Still works though, and THAT was a large screen (for a mere 100 grams) at the time. That changes so fast !

                          Android wasn't smooth until project butter came to be.

                              Amazing OS, still holds up decent today and can still download apps.
