Seriously what's up with your comment?

See it goes both ways :)

Article quote, "PCIe 4.0 support but it's not going to work with these CPUs and it's reserved for the next generation Rocket Lake parts."

Huh ? Rocket Lake ? Oh yeah, it must the tock cadence 14++++ nm job.

Unlike SpaceX rockets that go far and wide, Intel's Rocket ain't going nowhere in a hurry, except up their hindquarters.

No PCIe 4.0 support is a joke. AMD already support it.

Article quote, "Along with the more attractive pricing..."

"Attractive pricing" ? Where ? I must have missed it somehow. Ahh, you're talking about AMD Ryzen prices, aren't ya.

            32 Cpu on 14nm.
Just what we needed right now.
            32. Wow

AMD must be laughing hard right now :)

They're not wrong, but I summed up most of the comments if you're just tuning in.
Why is GSM Arena covering this though?

Article quote, "Intel has also complicated things a bit further this time..."

Errr, yeah, this is complicated. Is Comet Lake 14++ or 14+++ ?

Anonymous, 01 May 2020They're gonna introduce the 7nm in another 1 or 2 yearsYou missed out a couple of zeros; one zero after '1', and another zero after '2'.

Yeah, now your statement is more in line with reality.

Quote, "Codenamed 'Comet Lake', these new parts are still technically based on the 14nm 'Skylake' process from a few years ago but with multiple refinements."

This is the very best of Intel's innovation, 14+++ Comet Lake.

Meanwhile, TSMC are pumping out 5nm chips.

When Intel counts from 100 down to 1, Intel pauses at 14 and stutters violently at 10, resulting in a total meltdown.

Come on AMD, put Intel out of their misery.

Too bad there is no alternative to X86 apart from these two, there is the Chinese X86 but only now they have caught upto to 2017 intel performance

Honestly X86 is a dinosaur, I don't know how long will this go on?

Someone needs to pump tons of money to RISC-V right now.

The argument that "Intel is more stable" is pure bs, especially with all the security flaws. No one in their right mind would invest in an Intel platform right now haha.

They vary between Intel and AMD CPUs and often within different generations of the same vendor models. You need to pick the motherboard with the socket and chipset that is compatible with your CPU.

What is socket in desktop pc? Is it something different than motherboard. Actually I wanted to build a pc and wrapping my head around all the components for it in my budget and uses.
