Anonymous, 01 May 2020Never heard a company called technoTecno is the largest or second largest seller in Africa. Mostly in Nigeria. Their phones are mostly midrange and low priced. They're currently receiving serious competition from Xiaomi though. But it's a big name over here. MOSTLY in Nigeria.

Shocked to see LG on the list would have thought Nokia or even Sony... But the lack of phone sales in the lack in innovation and design! Same stuff for past decade! I miss Sonyericsson days every single phone was unique.

GSM arena we all know that smartphone poor sales is not due to covid 19. The reason behind this poor sales are due to higher price put by this companies samsung and apple. Nobody is interested to pay such huge amount for a smartphone, even if we can afford it some people are smart enough to realize that price shouldn't be like that. I only see less people who is using iphone 11promax xs max and s10+, s20 etc, majority are on the cheaper old flagship segment. Most people are buying a 400-700usd device. Only less go for 1000$ for a flagship.

Let's be real - even mid range phones and low end devices will serve most people pretty well.

Improvements are incremental, and on top of that - people have other things to worry about, like COVID19 for example...

I have never seen about smartphone-makers.
Just like Redmi, Realme, Sony, LG & more.

dns4, 01 May 2020Who wants notches and holes? Mehwith Amoled it's ok, or with IPS it should be like Pixel 4, Xperia 1, Meizu, ZTE nubia, or maybe motorized pop-up and i prefer Mechanical pop-up, or reverse notch, i never see it yet! dual display is ok but more expensive, and old 16:9/18:9, even in Instagram, some long stories which posted by new phones, are crop for mine 16:9.

Because living through these tough, unpredictable times (not knowing how long they will last) is much more important (financially) than purchasing what are essentially luxury goods...
