Need more quality tried and tested quality assurance next time. Butterfly fiasco did tamper their image.

Besides there is no competion, most other light notebooks are 13 inches, common manufacturing supply, Apple is not going to invest billions this year in China to make screens a little bit larger.

I believe the proper successor still coming this year woth 14", in slightly larger physical thanks to smaller bezel. A bit thicker so they fit larger battery. Base variants using 10th-gen.
But it won't come soon. Maybe this december?

I have the 2019 model so im not getting a refresh just yet, but they could have at least fitted a bigger screen and some other hardware tweaks, instead they just keep churing out rehashes and recycles, I guess if people keep buying their products regardless then there is no pressure on them to ever innovate or push forward, another weak upgrade

read up on the backdoors and the linux OS running at the hardware level on a sand grain sized arm chip in these new israel intel processors. shouldve offered an amd alternative.

I feel like I must be the only person in the world who actually prefers the butterfly keys. I have a 12" MacBook for personal use and a new 16" MacBook Pro for work. The new keys feel spongey and old fashioned

Recycling the hardware is a bad idea. All variants should have come with the newest 10th gen intel processors (not just the 512GB variant). It should have been significantly faster than a slow Macbook Air (even with quad-core processor).
It's a shame because it would be a very good laptop (great screen, battery life, and overall build quality). Unless you're opting the 512GB variant, consider the Dell XPS 13, HP Spectre x360, Microsoft Surface, etc.

What a disappointment, the big upgrade is the keyboard, as i'm still using a late 2013 model, it's not even an upgrade for me.

The biggest disappointment from Apple this year! Was eagerly waiting for a 14' Macbook Pro with thinner bezels and updated internals! Turns out the base variant is nothing but just a doubled storage product, what a shame! Starting loving Apple in 2020, but again forces me to look for other options!
