great & affordable devices just apps rely on GMS are the issue

Huawei is non-existent to me, without GMS. But I agree with the general idea of cheap smartphones for any budget, like some of you are pointing out.

Let's not forget that these specs were flagship-grade, less than 8 years ago!

Som dude, 05 May 2020Completely agree! I feel like everyone is taking smartphone... moreThere is Xiaomi Redmi 7A that is pretty much same as Y5P but still have better cpu and cameras and cost 70 euro cause it's a year or more old but have same 4000mAh battery.

But there is nothing with smaller size phones for people who want small phone with maximum 5.7 inch screen that will stay compact as the most maximum of 140 mm tall and maybe 70 mm wide that would fir that 5.5 inch screen with pretty much no bezels but will have 4000 mAh battery and something SD 6xx or 7xx cpu in then and cost under 200 euro.

There is a market for people who want this but there is none in the market. There is only that iphone 2020 that cost 400 in US and something 500-600 euro in EU there was something more that will come around same price range but it's still too much.

Most with these 5.45 inch screen phones are with large bezels that make the phone still too large and have 720p screen with some low end A22 chip or the likes and cost too much. Y5p 130 euro is insane much for it. It should be at most 80 and even then it would feel expensive

Sadly, no GMS. If it had Google, the Y6p could've been a great first phone for someone (in this case my sis)

I clearly see 2 camera's when looking at the back of the Y5p... What is the other one?

MagicMonkeyBoy, 05 May 2020That is excellent. This is what I like to see... Some of us... moreCompletely agree! I feel like everyone is taking smartphones today for granted and most are overlooking the big picture which is: decent devices at such affordable prices. Crazy to think a few years back. Power to the people!

That tablet has the BIGGEST battery in any mobile device...51,000 mAh. The best part it's only for 100 bucks. I'm getting that tablet (smile).

Great price for tablet. Screen is not that big..

The Y6p and Y5p specs are definitely mediocre compared to any budget, let alone mid-range Android smartphones with Google Mobile Services. But if my sole intention is just trying out and live with Huawei Mobile Service on a daily basis without breaking the bank (which, I got to be honest, is exactly what I have in mind), I definitely cannot ignore the Y6p.

Chambroso, 05 May 2020Would they have worked better with the Y5P, seriously, 8mp ... morerear camera, soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Would they have worked better with the Y5P, seriously, 8mp front camera?
even a dual camera would have given a better taste in the mouth.

the realme c3 seems to me a better option (the one with 3 cameras)

That is excellent. This is what I like to see... Some of us have flagship, cutting edge spec gaming devices. - Absolute beasts.

But what I like seeing are phones like this. Incredible prices. With specs that may look lesser than a flagship. But... In real life. Better than what you see on paper.

Take for example the processor. Possibly little difference to flagship when playing a video or browsing or streaming. Take the camera. Possibly pictures better than the paper. And possibly beyond its price by maybe 2/3x even 4x.

But to me these sort of phones feel like a scaled down flagship. And that is impressive. Most people that aren't gamers probably use the phone for browsing. In app stuff. Finance, shopping, videos, music. Zipping around the OS... And let's be honest. At first glance there really is probably not too much difference. Not a 14x difference put it that way.

And here is my point... Manufacturers are bringing scaled down flagship sort of devices... Premium budget devices that frankly can also perform almost on par for your day to day generic stuff... And that is good. It keeps everyone connected. Either on a low budget. Or a budget of magnitude. But in principle... We can all do the same things that are needed.

Of course. In our Android world... We obviously have gaming superiority powerhouses... And Cameraphones... Camera phones that have become better than DSLR's. Really. A true camera. But on a phone.

So there is my point... Bringing quality on a budget. To everyone. As I type this on my flagship gaming device. I am impressed by these phones. And If I end up on a low budget with my current phone broken. I am reassured and attracted to these budget premium handsets. Knowing that I can still have a quality experience on a wallet friendly budget. And that is impressive.

Is there really such a huge difference watching something on daily motion on a flagship device compared to these budget premium devices. Are they really 14x less than a flagship? I don't think so at all.
