During charging and using the phone, QC 4.0 Reduces charging speed, Oppo keeps charging without major drops in speeds while remaining relatively cooler.
These haters simply can't handle facts.

When Sony, Apple, LG borrows same fast charging tech and label it with their own goofy name, they'll lap it up under the name of innovation.

CompactPhones5ever, 07 May 2020You don't need to be a tech expert to use a common sense. I... moreso you can provide us studies which attests than new 50/65W charge are increasing the death speed of the battery? otherwhise it's just "an intuition" based on nothing :)

don't tell me about the temperature because on reviews, Oppo 65W battery temperature is the same than Redmi K30 33W

Fruit logo users don't understand concept of choice.
They never looked at spec sheet before coz Apple convinced them they were getting the latest and greatest like the 5W charger out of the box.

Android is like a buffet where one can choose what to eat, not a prison system like iOS where some jailer decides what you get to eat.

QhyQhy, 07 May 2020says the battery's expert who didnt even see the technology... moreYou don't need to be a tech expert to use a common sense. It's not some kind of conspiracy, it's a common sense that manufacturers don't want you to hold onto your devices for too long. Same reason why they stopped making phones with removable battery - average user won't bother with teardown, once the battery degrades too much they just buy a new phone. Same reason why suddenly every phone has a glass back, even those who don't use wireless charging. They used to have aluminium backs, but double the glass - double the chance of cracking your phone - double the chance of buying a new device.

It's just how this industry works.

Meanwhile Apple truly loves his customers, putting 5W chargers inside 1000$ phone boxes. Not to mention Sony..another wonderful company when it comes to smartphones and business.

This should really have come with the 8 series. But I understand they wanted to hold something back for the next iteration.

[deleted post]Hah, would you look at all these oneplus fanboys popping up, acting all smart because they have a broad idea what voltage and amperage means.

If you guys seriously believe tech companies work hard to prevent you from upgrading your phone as soon as possible then you should wake up. Sure, on paper it should degrade at same speed as a single cell 30W, but wait 2 years and see how it really works out - I guarantee that the battery will go down the drain, and not because of how it should or should not work, but because manufacturers don't want to sell their product, they want to keep selling it.

CompactPhones5ever, 07 May 2020Amazing, degrading your battery faster than ever! Soon ... moreYou obviously don't know how supervooc 2.0 works. It's not 1 battery charging at 65W but 2 batteries charging at a maximum of 32.5W each. So it's pretty much the same as 30W for each cell. 65W is useless though, 50W supervooc like the realme X2 Pro is enough, adding 15 watts doesn't change anything besides marketing numbers.

You can bet this will be introduced with the 8T series in the fall

CompactPhones5ever, 07 May 2020Amazing, degrading your battery faster than ever! Soon ... moreYou guys with 0 physics knowledge should know that BBK's 65W charger is basically 10V 6.5A. high amperage chargers leaves the charging heat to the charger brick instead of the battery.. which means the lifespan of the battery will be improved. High voltage chargers will produce more lithium dendrites which acts as non-conductive crystals that grows in Li-Po batteries weakening their charge capacity.
