LMFAO...there's nothing wrong with the appstore layout.
In your case though, maybe you haven't bought apps from appstore because you don't have an iOS device? You actually do need one to access the appstore.

I can see why. Even a simple wallpaper app asks you for a 7$ monthly subscription to actually work or give you more than 5 wallpapers to choose from.

On the other hand, Google Play Store is less secure (not thoroughly reviewed) and there have been bots to increase a certain apps' rating.
While Huawei's AppGallery is still limited in the number of apps.

10 years ago, Apple's app store was a universe of colourful, new apps from big and little developers. It was well laid out with star ratings telling you which apps were popular. I used to buy dozens of apps every week.
The layout now is so bad, I haven't bought an app from Apple's app store for years. All I see are wide ad-like banners, lots of white empty space and the same undesirable apps with no ratings aimed at little kids.
Google's Play Store on the other hand is really good.

Greatness just gets greater. When one sector softens the others just breaks history!
