Zoomed out fit-to-screen on my 32" monitor, the pictures look very nice.
However, zoomed in real size, they look like bloody oil paintings. Post processing looks crap on this phone - too much noise reduction and oversharpening results in smeared fine details.

The images are definitely not "trash". Do you understand taking in hyperbole doesn't help your case in actually discerning good pictures from bad? Looking at the images in high res, they are completely fine and even good. Obviously they aren't the best pictures in the world but if you wanted that then you wouldn't be looking at smartphone photography now would you? These images are good and you are just hating for the sake of it. Overdramatized vocabulary doesn't help get your point across like you know what you are talking about.

The shots are worse than pretty much anything I've seen lately. I guess it's the processing, there's an insane blur effect going on, and yes, like others have said, the pics look oily as hell.

There are a lot of good sensor out there destroyed by processing by Huawei, Xiaomi, Asus etc phone manufacturers, they bring the sensors to their knees, it's outrageous, it seems like 99% of those who work in software put out only garbage to sabotage and scam customers

Clouds even worse, and detail level are pure trash.

Should I go on ? Please, double check the picture. :)

Using the OV48B sensor for the main sensor in China which is a budget sensor used on much cheaper phones. It does have the periscope lens but they cheaped out on the main sensor and it looked much worse than the Redmi k30 5g for pics from the main sensor when comparing pics in a Xiaomi home store.

Does this one have Play Store at least?

Photo #1 (X10) shows ghosting around the people....rest of the photos look average sharpness.

Honor V 30+ cleverly opted the picture #1 OUT, rest of the pictures look sharp but nothing to boast about.

GregLu, 08 May 2020Check in High Res, it's not that great. Not even good actually. Are you looking at the same images I am? Photos are sharp, detailed, and clean. I don't see any "oil painting" effect you are referring to. You do realize the magnification tool on GSMA photos goes to like 300-400% magnification right? Even DSLR/mirrorless camera still looks either grainy or too smooth at that level of magnification. There isn't a single smartphone camera sample on this entire site that doesn't look the same at that level of magnification.

I hope the camera system of X10 gets rated eventually. Its world class 40MP IMX600 (RYYB) main camera should comfortably outperform the main cameras of most flagship smartphones. It would be nice to see X10 sit close to Honor 30 Pro+ near the top of the camera chart.

X10 is poised to be another home-run for Honor. With Kirin820 (integrated 5G), 40MP IMX600(RYYB), a true full-frontal screen, and a right price-point (starting at $230 or lower), it will outsell most of the phones based on SD765G or SD768G in the under $400 segment. 'Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth' (periscope zoom) will be another strong contender in the same price segment. But 'Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth' will be priced over $300.
