That just proves you have no concept of whats actually going on with these SoCs. The 865 needs an external modem, and it can use 4G, or 5G. BTW, the 5G modem for the 865 supports both 4G and 5G.

I am wondering why Qualcomm up till now haven’t launched a separate 4G version for the Snapdragon 865 SOC for all the countries that doesn’t have a potential for 5G network and won’t have for God knows how many years. The cost of 2020 phones have become insanely high because of this separated 5G modem embedded with the 865 chip and it’s worthless for the majority of consumers. Screw Qualcomm’s monopoly!

Yeah, the GPU's a newer one and other couple of differences I don't really care. You can check Qualcomm's website and S765 does exist...It was announced alongside S765G and S865. Only reason I see OEMs using S765G is because the GPU's performance is slightly better.

This is because Huawei manage to get 40%+ Q1 2020 market share in China. There won't be any price hike.

Snapdragon 768G is an overclocked 765G which is an overclocked 765, just like Qualcomm making a Snapdragon 855+ pro max haha, on a more serious note this can only mean one thing, there’s very likely going to be an overclocked snapdragon 865 sometime soon

Anonymous, 08 May 2020Qualcomm always announce their cpu months before phones tha... moreIt's not that simple. Hardware manufacturers usually cooperate with OEMs on upcoming products, many months in advance, usually under strict non-disclosure agreements. This way, OEMs have enough time to fine-tune their drivers, firmware and software, while still being able to release new products with the very latest hardware.

Really nice gaming improvement! I wonder if they'll manage to keep it cool enough. You can only increase the clock speed so far before you run into throttling issues…

Also, it's too bad that they don't use A77 cores in the 7XX series yet. Probably in the next big SoC announcement.

An overclocked S765G which is an overclocked S765 which is an overclocked S730G which is an overclocked S730. I think the GPU clockspeed is the same with S765G cuz the lower one is S765. C'mon Qualcomm, give us a cutdown Snapdragon 865 instead of this lazy rehashed chip which still performs worse than Snapdragon 855.

There are two versions of SD765G+ (up-clocked SD765G). SD768G is the first of these two versions. The 2nd version (supposedly with more significant enhancement) will be forthcoming later. SD768G is developed as a Qualcomm's response to Kirin820, at the request of other phone-makers. (Kirin820 based smartphones are practically crushing SD765G based smartphones in Xiaomi's primary market as we speak.)

Qualcomm always announce their cpu months before phones that use are announced.
No way Qualcomm brings a new cpu just days before the phone has its event.

So this is literally the overclocked version of the 765G, so that it can compete with Huawei and Mediatek's offerings. It's like releasing the 855+ after the 855.
