The price is great. I'm an Indian, and I agree that prices in Europe are ridiculously high. Lots of stuff is overpriced there.

BTW, I'm planning to move to Russia. I hear that taxes are really low in Russia. 13% income tax, and even lower sales tax I guess. What do you guys think? Worth moving there? I love the cold, and would enjoy the -35 degrees winter sitting at home all day and gaming.

Alex 94, 09 May 2020Hah. No, it's just that Xiaomi trying to earn money on us, ... moreI'm a European, in my country taxes & rent are very high for businesses. The median income in my country is quite high compared to India. So I don't if I had to pay more than Indian consumers. Also, I will get warranty from Xiaomi. I think it is worth the extra.

Everyone is going to complain about high prices. I do too. But not against Indian's prices.

Note: that shipping to Europe is much higher than to India.

                                    2. Transportation to western countries adds to the price.
                                    3. Most of the sales in India are of low to mid range budget phones, so companies compete with each other to keep the price low.. in short we tend to buy the cheapest phone in the segment, rather than having a brand preference.
                                    4. India is a huge market, so companies earn more even with minimal margins.
                                    5. Indian phones have more bloatware and adds, that generates revenues for mobile companies, so they don't mind skipping on profit from sales.
