Anonymous, 12 May 20201" camera will never beat Micro 4/3. Micro 4/3 will never ... moreIts not necessary. Photo quality is a factor of many variables.
A lot depends on how well the sensor is made, what its construction and objective is, and the situations where the photo is snapped. Sony sensors give better performance than many others. BSI adds to quality too.

For example, a B&W sensor grabs 4 times more light, so even if it is 2 times smaller in area, it will perform better than a colour one.
Megapixels matter too. A smaller sensor with lesser megapixels has a chance to give quality, against bigger sensor with more than proportionate megapixels. (Although I might add, a bigger sensor always has an advantage.).
Another, if the situation is good, then a smaller sensor may churn out better photos from certain angles, so photographer matters too.

Even if all this is ok & equal, Lens I might add is half of the equation by itself. Aperture value is also determined by lens, any extreme aperture could be bad.
ISO selected matters too. It was displayed earlier that a Nikon Full Frame camera used ISO 64 or 50 and good lens, to match a Mamiya Pro medium format camera in terms of pure Dynamic range and performance...

Sensor size is the new megapixel race for marketing teams. Bigger sensor does not mean better pictures just like how more megapixels don't mean it image will be higher quality. But more importantly all big sensors are pixel binners which is whole another game. Pixel binning is good for one thing and one thing only, hardware image stacking for HDR. For everything else it's in disadvantage. If you are shooting landscape in the wind all the leafs will have motion blur which gets even uglier if image processing has aggressive sharpness, that's the case of Mi10 Pro which is great for still human portraits but things like grass, hair, subjects in motion are all blurred and then super sharpened. Reason why cheaper devices opt for quad bayer Sony 64mp sensor is because solid HDR image stacking effect comes cheap and no advanced software engineering is required. Sensor is built with image stacking in mind. But like I said trade off is everywhere else.

                      Bobby_gBG, 12 May 2020Wrong. Iphone 11 Has 1/2,55" sensor, S20+ has 1/1,72" ... moreA, huh? Bigger sensor? Alright.

That 64MP sensor is only used for zooming and cropping, bro.

The main sensor is still 12 MP.

And like I said, you give up on some zoom in exchange for much better image proccesing(main and ultrawide cams are the same).

On the s20 ultra, you could have made that argument(since 108MP was the main sensor).

But if you really want zoom, buy p30 pro new edition, p40 pro, or maybe p40 pro+ if you wait.

How in the world does the samsung galaxy s20+ beat the iPhone 11 pro, even slightly, in the camera? This time, It doesn't even have the camera hardware advantage(same 12MP sensors) and iPhone 11 pro still beats it in autofocus hunting and general image proccesing.

More and more do I think DxO mark is a complete joke.

The only advantage samsung has is perhaps zoom.

No they pay you, they send you stuff, some even pay for your flight and hotel if your following is big enough to present their shiny new toys, not a single one of these OEMs no matter where from is honest in their marketing and advertiesment and they probably pay DxO, do we have proof? no, is it likely? hell yes.
