"The Redmi K30 Pro arrived with a Snapdragon 865 and we expect the same to be with the Poco F2 Pro, but without the Snapdragon X55 modem, responsible for the 5G connectivity."
The X55 modem is responsible for both 4G and 5G connectivity so there is no option not to buy it from Qualcomm, this is how they abused their monopoly. If Poco shipped it without x55 you wouldn't be able to use any cellular network, so even though it's separated you are forced to buy it on top of the overpriced Snapdragon 865 that almost costs twice of the last years 855, in the name of "early 5G adoption". They will just have to disable the 5G part of the modem and call it 4G. It's the single most moronic SoC of all time, even worse than the Snapdragon 810

RIP Poco, 2018-2018. Pocophone F1 was a killer phone.
