1) This is just a necessary 'official' statement from Google so that it is not seen to be in contradiction to the policy of the government, but in practice Google hasn't actively done anything to discourage such practice. Such practice is wide spread assuming GMS is actually important to typical users, since ~40% of Android smartphones are released to the market without GMS. (In some markets, GMS is never a part of the local smartphone ecosystem. In some other markets, smartphone-makers don't want to pay Google to have the right to preinstall GMS.)

2) Isn't it true that Google has applied for a waver from the government 3-4 times already within the short span of just a year? Google's ad revenue depends on the number of units that carries GMS. It is in the economic interests of Google to have GMS installed on as many smartphone units as possible. Google is not worried about how to prevent GMS from being installed on certain brands of smartphones, but instead Google may be worried about losing the grip of the Android smartphone market if this divided Android market is to continue.

CompactPhones5ever, 13 May 2020WTF, I really didn't care much for Honor devices until now,... moreHonor X10 series is intended for 5G market(s), and at the moment, that 5G market is primarily Chinese. Europe is very low on the priority list for Honor's designers. It is unlikely that the phone will be made available for Europe any time soon. In the event it is made available for Europe, the starting price will definitely higher than $300. If GMS is high on your list, you should look elsewhere. Meanwhile, this series will comfortable sell in tens of millions units, even without entering the European market.

Honor X10's main camera will comfortably outperform the main camera of most flagships, especially non-Chinese flagships.

P40 lite is 249e and itÂÂÂ’s selling like crap in Europe, thanks to HMS

                    This wonÂ’t sell any better

If you install google play store you are asking lot of problems. It’s illegal and also Google can kill it any day.

I hope.it will have popup camera and acurate srgb (my 8x has 2 profiles, both way off, one too saturated, the other with very low saturation and horrible white balance that you cannot fix in settings)

The main camera.samples that were release look atrocious though, they have some horrible processing, they're worse than the secondary cameras on most phones.

WTF, I really didn't care much for Honor devices until now, but... The chipset scores better than Snapdragon 765G and it has 90Hz screen, and it's supposed to start around at 130 eur in China, according to previous GSMarena article: https://www.gsmarena.com/honor_x10_specs_and_images_revealed_through_tenaa_and_miit-news-42880.php

It's starting to sound like absolutely insane deal, considering anyone can just additionally download Google Play store themselves. If they manage to keep the score under 200 eur in Europe, it's going to sell like hot cakes.

Glad Hauwei are still at the forefront of tech. Hope that they stay strong.
