I always buy Samsung Phones for me and my family too, I know Samsung has global standards of testing procedures which Chinese companies do not follow .
A51 and S20 are really good phones

Personally speaking, I only buy smartphones with flagship SoCs in it, but if I had to buy a mid-ranger then I'd rather get one from a highly reputable brand like Samsung. I don't trust 99.9% of these Chinese brands and I never will.

This proves many consumers only require budget phones in a well known branded device. As a result, Samsung A51 was their pick. Also its predecessor (Samsung A50) which proves the same.
I strongly thinks AMOLED display and clean UI is strong selling point for this phone.
Now coming to M series which is not globally marketed when compared to A series
This clearly proves Xiomi, Realme, Oppo, Vivo need to gain customers trust.

The truth is Samsung is a known brand and the average phone user simply buys whatever phone is in their budget from the brand they're familiar with. Average consumers don't care about SOC benchmark and the stuff techies fuss about, good display, good camera, good battery life and non laggy ui and they are satisfied. Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme etc definitely offer better packages for cheaper price. The A51 isn't a bad phone though and is good enough for the smatphone average user.

The fact is I had 2 phones and could only afford to keep one. Whatever game I played on both phones the pixel was clearly a superior experience. Why would I lie? Google ain't going to give me no money for saying it! I've got nothing to gain from it. The reason I even bother mentioning it is I was genuinely surprised as I fully expected the Xiaomi to walk all over the pixel, but it didn't. The only area the Xiaomi was better was web browsing and it was much better, The pixel is actually horrible at web browsing on anything but the most basic browser. Other than that I love mine.

I've got no bias, I don't really care about brands or loyalty towards them. I had 2 phones in front of me and could only afford to keep one of them. Apart from web browsing, where the Xiaomi was indeed much better for whatever reason, the pixel was just a more polished experience. Maybe I had a bad unit, It does happen, but that's just how it turned out.

I wonder why some xiaomi fans got salty because of A51 selling more, some people find that A51 is better suited for their needs, doesn't trust xiaomi or doesnt know about it, or simply prefer an ad free ui over miui. Just deal with is and stop bashing.

All I wanted was to keep the best phone and sell the other to make some money back. I have zero bias, I'm too old for that. End of the day is the pixel slayed the Xiaomi in gaming... End of story. Believe me I was very surprised. I didn't expect it to turn out that way but I have no reason to come on here and lie. I've got nothing to prove. Pixel one by a clear margin. Much smoother frame rates. Touch sensitivity was superior. Don't get me wrong certain things the Xiaomi did better, web browsing was indeed better on the mi9t, no questions but with the pixels camera and gaming chops being clearly better I sold on the mi9t. Don't get petty with me I'm just saying it like it is.

AMOLED screens are much more expensive than unsaturate... moreThe galaxy m31 is 80$ cheaper, same soc, same amoled screen and better camera, I know there are things that the A series do better, but the A51 was still an overpriced phone, you can't just put a chip set you can find in 150$ phones in a 300$ device just because it has an oled screen, also there were many bugs and issues with the software when the device was launched, now I don't know if updates fixed that, but that still means that Samsung like Xiaomi are just rushing to launch these phones without optimising the software first. We all know best selling never meant best, many people still buy phones based on brand name rather than value, the A51 is a very popular device (in my country at least), while the A71 usually goes unnoticed, even though it's a much better device (better than it looks on paper) and totally worth the 100$ difference.

Also if you thing it's not the reason of being more expensive, RM6 pro is more expensive than A51 in my country. Now it's true that RM6 Pro has a better processor and overall better specs on paper, Samsung phones are better in the long run

With the Android 10 update, it has become much much better, and it's even faster now. No wonder it was the most sold phone last year. The street price for the phone is about 250 to 300 euros.
