I mean even apple has basically admitted that battery optimization can do only so much and that raw battery capacity is the key. Why was Google stuck on their beliefs on software optimization for the pixel 4

It's obvious due to lack of spec and the ugly design, come on who the hell want an ugly phone pixel 4 is the epitome of ugly design phone plus who still sell two camera phone in 2020.

Well all I can say is my smaller flagship 3 is a beast. I love the dam thing. Goes all day, does everything, pleasure to use. Best phone i've had. Hope 5 comes out smart. Soli should not be ditched. Its innovative.. just tweak it.

Nexus devices and early Pixels were better phones because they were made by phone manufacturers like Motorola, LG and Huawei. Nexus 5 was basically a LG with different back cover, as was the Nexus 4. Pixel 2 XL was a beast, and apart from the dodgy screen, was brilliant. Again, built by LG.

Honestly, the big problem is the global reach. You might know it in America and maybe Europe. But trust me, in South Asia and the Middle East, its clearly not even here. This reach is necessary, Google must open up stores in these locations, there are a lot of "unaware" buyers.. your marketing shouldn't just be in the Western Hemisphere.

ok, we can conclude that google pixel team able to put higher capacity battery, but they didnt, that means some google top exec didnt want this.. and this become one major factor why pixel phone failed, lol

Either changes they pushed for were shot down, or changes they were against (guessing Soli) were forced upon them. It will be interesting to see where Levoy lands; should be lots of interested parties.

why are the team leaders and head of development disatisfied? its their bad phone they made ot themselves as they did all the google phones. no micro sd killing jack. most likely theu had influence over android itself and killed formats that are now cobsdered legacy. if anything this looks like great news.

One of the big issues with Pixel line is stupid Google policy.. Why, a mean why availability of Pixels is so limited? Only in some countries in Europe you can buy a Pixel. In Poland, where I live, there is no Google store, also I cant order the phone from for example German or Italian G store.. That stupid. Why Google cant create online store that will ship phones to every country in Europe? Even Oneplus has it. Poland is one of the countries where Pixels could be very popular, especially when many people buy Pixels from Amazon.. but without support.
