You want music photos and so on which implies you need good quality cam or good speakers and more you need memory. If more memory is used you need speed, if you need speed you need to have have better processor say dual core or so on. For daily use you need good stand-by which means you need better battery.
If you put your head you will understand why people research so much on what they want and companies produce phones to fullfil them. If you just need a phone to speak buy some nokia 1100 or something as such you will enjoy it for daily use

The play was outdated before it was released.

The idea of having dual core or other kind or super upgraded android it's just a very bad joke for the concept of a functional day to day phone...music, camera and voice call quality are the main importance at this level(at least for ones like me)...
Sony really did a great thing to bring back memories because Play was quite expensive and i am not to imagine a phone for playing...but the quality of the XPlay is great to match for the ones, not to make the diffrence in quantity...that is why NEO L MUST HAVE same PLAY technical base(not mention why play doesnt get ICS update) because i really wanna have a 'candybar Play' and also a great camera without any stupid prost processings, also with noice shielded calls...
Hope some Sony adviser read this comment...!

So for those late to the party, here is goes... again..
If Sony focused more on giving the public phones that represent the brand, rather than remnants of SE with the out of date specification, then maybe, just maybe, they will have the success they desire.
That was the basis of my initial comment. It was then followed with people who probably own less Sony phones than I do, thinking I'm bashing, and then you enter playing Judge Judy. So either agree that this is a great decision by Sony to use these components as Samsung make tons low to mid range phones, or disagree because you don't believe Sony should try and sell us out of date components in a new shell. Either way it's irrelevant, as I won't be buying. Good luck on your future purchases...
