Adul Al Salami Kebab, 20 May 2020Their leadership is ex-Nokia & ex-Microsoft workers I w... more5 ex Nokia engineers does not make them Nokia, not even a subsidiary. Most talented engineers are gone th as t is why they s*ck.

I call them HMD or Fokia because they have almost nothing in common with Nokia, they stole the name and now try to fool people.

Real Nokia was extremely innovative and pure quality with way too many features (N95 anyone?). New Nokia (HMD really) is 3 actual Nokia guys, 50 noobs and a chinese factory, they can't compete. They should die like HTC...

A failure of formal past glory vendor hiring a person that has has failed his position in the given market region. Way tot go!

Maybe he can reinvent the Lumia/N9 design, Beautiful design that stands out is "Nokia".

Anonymous, 19 May 2020Once again: HMD is not Nokia, they merely licenced the name... moreTheir leadership is ex-Nokia & ex-Microsoft workers I would take that back if I were you, sure the phones are made by Foxconn like the Apple iPhone now but does it matter? Nokia cannot afford to compete making them in Vietnam can they?

When they make a Nokia phone that does not require a factory reset each month then I am interested, if not call me when making a Windows phone again...

They should bring back letter naming scheme and make more appealing (innovative) phones. Big sensor for camera, better design and less buggy software. Also they release too much phones which confuses people. I would like Nokia to succeed but seeing how things are going I am not optimistic.

What Nokia should have done is to release a phone with an equally potent spec for the asking price. As much as I like the properly clean and stock Android One (no need to buy a Pixel), the price doesn't really excite me. Even the Nokia 9 PureView didn't float my boat, and this is coming from someone who is using a Nokia Lumia 1020 and Microsoft Lumia 950.

“ As a mobile enthusiast, I’m delighted to be joining HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones. "

                              1. How are you a mobile enthusiast when you've worked in marketing ( ads, commercials, posters ) your whole career?

" There aren’t many devices that captivate audiences and evoke such loyalty as Nokia phones do. I look forward to doing this legacy justice and helping bring fans of the brand what they’ve come to expect – the best in quality design and the latest technology at an accessible price point. ”

                              2. Not many devices that captivate audiences? Errr.. plenty of brands to choose from and the loyalty you're referring to is gone. Real Nokia is only at the heart of the real Nokia engineers and the real Nokia users like me for example.

                              3. As a marketer, you can't bring justice to a legacy nor can you bring the real Nokia fans what they would actually expect because first and foremost you're not a designer or an engineer as they are responsible for quality design ( as they imagined it ) and the latest technology ( also the way they imagined it ) while accessible price points are dictated by the sales division.

The only way to resurrect the real Nokia is to get the old wolf pack back together and that will bring justice to the aforementioned legacy to shine modern nostalgia onto the market in this day and age.
