will we ever see "auto screen rotate" tho? it came up with android 8 or 9 , literally every other phone manufacturer implemented it, still no sign of it in MIUI. New fonts and animations are nice but would be great if all the new android features were implemented instead. Still a fan of Xiaomi but MIUI could be better, they were really ahead of their time, mi mix 2 had gestures figured out before everyone and overall UI was great and 3 years has passed , it is still mostly at same stage. They call it 10 , 11 , 12 but barely anything significant changes.

so, bring battery management better and just exclude all your "spying" apps, maybe that will increase the battery by far.
Xiaomi makes money by Ads in UI & by selling your data.
So there are absolutely ZERO chances of happening something like that.

I've installed miui 12 beta to test on my k20 pro and I'm really liking even though it has bugs here and there, but that's expected for a beta firmware, looking forward to the official release!

[deleted post]calm down btc, i know gms is syping all the way, but xiaomi spy at their own way, so...gms and xiaomi spying is twice as much as battery draining.
i am no complaining, im just saying because of that the battery dont last, btw i am using Mi 9 so, i dont know the point of your comment.
Well, time to say: if you are using any android you are beign spy by google and all others, true...but, crapple users are too, so...point of the question: just use a old phone with no "smart" word attached and you done.
LOL, just to keep you angry, you may be...some...i dont tell you, you already know what you are.

Anonymous, 19 May 2020Yes, 5 Plus was called in India Note 5 :DIt's a last on the list (but still it's there, like Note 5 Pro), but anyway.. I think this is a great support i must say..That Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus (in India Note 5), is phone from 2017 (december of 2017), the phone that costs in that time or in the beggining of 2018, 120 euros, brand new, 120 euros... And after more than two and a half years, it still getting updates, (and also new functions, new UI design etc), i think thats a impresive. Even more, Redmi 6a.. The phone from mid 2018, with price tag, under 80 euros in that time, will also get MIUI 12.. I just hope, Xiaomi will continue to make (also) more compact phones, not only bricks (like the rest of the OEMs, because it's a trend). But MIUI update support is great on those (entry level) devices. Also Samsung doing good job in the last 2 years. The rest.. Those phones without any new option afer update, with same UI after update, does not count.

Bring it, im just curious about would battery life improve or not, since Mi9, have it for almost 1 year and even with root, debloat and so on battery keeps lasting less and less. - and for people who will reply to this saying this or that, i am all about do everything i can to improve it, i know what i am doing, im not a noob just like many of comments who will be in this post.
so, bring battery management better and just exclude all your "spying" apps, maybe that will increase the battery by far.
