Dual-core krait is more than enough for everyday task IMO, never really understood what the big fascnation is with quad-core from what i've seen its powerful but there is no huge advantage over dual-core & with the extra cores there is more battery drain. When quad-core processors become more powerful & battery effcient then I will change my mind about them.

How many people here have used a phone with Qualcomms dual core Krait? I have an HTC One X (NA version ) and love it no complaints. However, besides its styling and build quality, I'm a fan of the GS3. Its gonna sell millions. As a previous iPhone 4 owner, I will say that when it comes to cell phones, its different strokes for different folks. I love the customization that Android 4 offers, but would I reccomend it to my 70 yr old mom or girlfriend . Nope , not as easy to use . I won't bash or support the Touchwiz user interface because my experience with it is limited to a few mins with a friends Galaxy Note. I agree with commenters that say a quad or dal core makes no difference. Its day to day use that matters . Diversity is the spice of life. If I was rich, I would own about 5 phones . Thats not the case so I use whats best for me .Enjoy your phones , yay!

The HTC One X beats this... moreThe HTC One X doesn't have LTE connectivity and it has also been proven that the S4 dual core is actually faster than both the Exynos and Tegra 3 quad core. Graphics hardware is another situation however I highly doubt the fact that most end users will care or even notice the difference in chip sets.

Qualcomm's S4 benches higher in only certain aspects of cpu performance and it looks like IO scores inflated due to possible kernel tweaks

genie: they have dual core and 2gb of ram so ours is more powerful because they don't need the ram and room for the LTE network (i prefer it this way, why would i want such speed on my mobile, i download of a fiber link at home and i have limited network with my phone ... )

But i think you did not read the article well it says the US version will NOT have Exynos quad core it will come with Qualcomme Krait dual core.

Try Tegra and Krait you will find there is a huge difference in real life.
Exynos>Tegra>Krait
I don't know why Samsung don't give options for carriers either you want Dual and LTE or Quad and No LTE and the users of those carriers choose what they want
