I've given up on waiting for the Galaxy Watch 2. Rumors first said Aug 2019, then it was November. Then for sure the 1st Qtr 2020. Now a new "maybe" date. Its a shame because they had such a great start with hands down the best smartwatch. I wonder how many other have simply stopped waiting and move to another brand.

Seriously I have no idea who would want to pay a premium for a smartwatch. First and foremost changing the battery is freaking hard and even then after a couple of years it will be obsolete therefore no one will wants to buy or use it any further for it to be relevant. Plus I dont think anyone could well differentiate the difference of the more expensive versions anyways.

They still got rid of arguably it's best feature which is Samsung pay via MFT

3rd party HRM support would be fantastic, the optical sensors struggle with darker skin tones, and even more with tattoos, being able to have a nice accurate chest strap linked to my samsung watch would be very helpful, as its only software based improvement it should be be easy to implement to include a much broader diverse range of people

one of the best software features you could offer is 3rd party heart rate monitor support,i.e chest straps and so on.
its ok having these sensors on your wrist, but they are often unreliable, unstable or sometimes just dont work for some people i.e those who have tattoos, or for darker skin tones, i mean its purely a software update which can simply allow more people to use the devices, not exactly sure why it isnt an option, i had the gear s3 and it tracked fine, but the HR sensor was terrible for me personally because of my tattoos and sun tan, so I have not used a samsung watch since

"Competing with Apple" doesn't mean having lower spec's. If you want to compete, go a step (or two) ahead of Apple instead of always playing "catch-up". Apple and Garmin remain the strong leaders in the smartphone market.

they have to use spphire instead of gorrela glass for this premuim smart watch plus 50m water proofing

I definitely prefer the rotating bezel of my Galaxy Watch to the capacitative one of my Watch Active 2. . The latter looks nicer but it's less functional imo.

I'm also still using the gear s3 frontier, I just love the look and feel of the bezel. hopefully we can get an updated version with this upcoming watch.

                      Titanium?
                      Rotating bezel?

If so, I'll be upgrading from my Gear S3.
Please make a better software and notifications tho.

I hope they really bring the rotating bezel back. I still use the s3

                          Titanium?
                          Rotating bezel?

If so, I'll be upgrading from my Gear S3.

Ah, I talked not long ago about Titanium back (or whole structure) smartphones rather than glass, as the price of Titanium isn't that high, of course brands will put a really high premium with Titanium products, not because the Titanium cost more, but because it is considered luxury variant so they can make more profits...

There are some materials like that which would be nice to see from time to time on more products, and not necessary on luxury (lot more expensive) variants !
