I have OIS (I don't use EIS as I'd rather have more fps/resolution) and mine doesn't shake like that at all.....they had to have been stomping. Otherwise maybe because it was a low light situation? Idk it still seemed extreme.

it looks like they used a potato to record the video comparison on the left, i dont recall seeing any footage that bad on any phone for years, this is a very poorly staged video, they should have gotton a decent phone to compare this gimbal setup with

I dunno, I liked the exposure and white balance of the image that the X50 Pro is being compared to.
I feel that it faithfully represents the real mood of the scene, which is supposed to be a warm night photo, while the X50 Pro looks as if it was already edited in the post process.

[deleted post]This doesn't seem like an original innovation at all. DJI already uses it for their drone signals for large sized photos (like on the DJI Mavic Zoom). Also, it's most likely produced by Corephotronics, so it's hardly an innovation by Vivo.

Surprisingly the stabilization isn't really better than the one on the top end iPhones, Samsungs amd others. Plus, yt his design seems to be stolen from the S20 Ultra. Or they've paid Samsung to design it (through Corephotronics).
This rotation on the phone could do a magic that no other smartphone could, if it does 360 conteolled rotation.

So where are the pop up haters with the "durrr moving parts, durrr wear, durrr complexity, durrr point of failure, durrr fragility" and other "arguments" ?
Strangely they aren't showing up to any other moving things than pop up, could it be their argument against pop up are brainless copy of what they read somewhere ?
Noooo...Peoples couldn't be stupid enough to spit on pop up with arguments they read somewhere without even checking if it is true or having any real reasons to hate the pop up but be happy about something else that theorically can have the same issues...Right ?
Anyway, the tech is promising, technically it can also worh with periscope style camera, as zoom increase the shaking, it would be really useful to combine those two !

Only one Smartphone brand, only one with tactile display, only one with audio jack, only one with Wi-Fi, only one with front camera, only one with OIS, only one with optical zoom, only one with Lithium battery, only one with USB port, only one with 3G, one with 4G, only one with Bluetooth, only one with flash, only one with vibration, only one with volume buttons...
Or imagine if this tech couldn't exist on smartphones simply because other equipment already had gimbals camera...
They'll want to do the same ? GOOD, Keep improving smartphones and other techs !>
Technically the brand who do first any innovation should get royalties...

Aierlan, 21 May 2020They may have used a phone with OIS but no EIS for comparison Trust me, all phones (bar iPhone 11 series) look like that (especially with EIS and OIS) when shooting in low light and walking faster than normal. Try it for yourself.
