i remember this phone way back. some of the things I noticed when it was in 1.6 donut, you cant turn it off while it was charged, it will just reboot itself. the cache of pictures in timescape was very buggy. and correct me if im wrong, there was an update for multi touch! 2 fingers only.

The Xperia 1 Mk II is showing the real Sony uniqueness.
Not following any hype trend of curved screen and inexistent bezels with annoying screen cutout, having the headphone jack, a unique dedicated camera shutter key, focus on true professional use with Cinema Pro and Photo Pro app, squarish angular design with sleek and narrow 21:9 aspect ratio, the only (still the only) OEM to have 4K HDR screens, all cameras that could actually shoot images (no unnecessary depth sensors whatever), I mean what else is that phone lacking?
High refresh rate doesn't matter for most use cases, as there are barely enough apps that support it, and even so, we do get Sony's class-leading Motion Blur Reduction that's inspired by Sony Bravia TVs' MotionFlow.
When it comes to versatility and having all the essentials, undoubtedly the Xperia 1 Mk II is unbeatable. There's absolutely no other way around it.

I hope Sony will came back competing seriously. I mean right now its obviously that Sony isn't serious in competingwith other phone brands. The Xperias role now is just to showcase Sony's technologies etc. But not meant for competing with others.
