get rid of Stephen Elop! +
get used to some good habits like: not being too traditionally, selling goods with high wealth/price, being flexible with multi OS for a product (Symbian+WP+Android+Meltemi+...), wisely getting rid of restricting copyright of some brands like WP + zune + ... and replacing them by open source programs else having them updated and getting the best in the market, ...
i know that NOKIA worth a lot! neither less than Samsung, nor SONY ! please keep trying to save the industry NOKIA !

You have to admit it, Android or no Android, at this price tag it's a pretty good effort.

I agree that Nokia is a brand that has immense potential in India, but as long they are going to stick to symbian and Windows Phone, they can never regain their lost glory. Admit it, android is far better than both these two and most importantly, people want their phones to be android. So however nice the phone may be but as long as their software sucks, they won't be able to generate much sales.

pratyay, 07 Jun 2012 I do not see there is any reason to say 'cheers' or 'good ... moreWhat u don't realise that these are still feature phone and not smartphones.so talking about ram is foolish.if u want to compare then nokia 305/306 are in competition with samsung champ delux and they will have comparable price to champ once they get to stores and they r obviously better.
Nokia 311 is pitted most likely against samsung star 3 which gets comprehensively beaten.yes star 3 is much cheaper as of now but then again expect asha 311 to be a bit expensive due to it's features once it launches.
These phones don't compete with low end droids as the cheapest droid in India, galaxy y still costs u 7.3 k INR which is more than that of 311 and still don't expect to enjoy ur android OS fully with galaxy y with a qvga resolution and no gpu.
And am not talking of local manufactures like karbon, spice, lava, micromax coz no international brand can compete with their steep price.but the phones from these companies won't last long and they also have poor customer support.these have a long way to go before they can even stand against the giants of the market.

Yani, 08 Jun 2012Just read a few top rated comments here and I don't think y... moreThese are not smartphones and therefore mostly average users would go for them or they may be used as backup phones.unlike smartphone buyers who looks for apps n processing speed it's buyers would be looking for simple things like gud call quality, gud build and battery, fluid and simple touch phone with minimalistic and easy interface.as we all know feature phones last more than smartphones.
And these phones will cater to these type of users.

Just read a few top rated comments here and I don't think you guys get the big picture here (in smartphone world).
Yes these phones are nice and cheap (just what the common user wants), but this is not the point here!
The point is simple: developers, developers, developers !!!
Nokia Store is pretty low on apps while with Android/iOS anyone can send in apps for a low price. Yes, with this model you also get 3572 fart apps, but statistics has its own way around this. While 90% out of 100.000 apps are utter crap, there are still 10.000 good apps left and a normal person can handle around 50 or more installed apps no problem.
Yes, Nokia Asha has some good pre-installed apps that are enough for a common person, but progress and tons of people with tons of ideas just make your phone even smarter (even if only 1 of 1000 developers actually make a good app) :)
