China requires companies to share their technology in order to do business there, they are well known to steal intellectual property like no other. The US does not need to act like a snake in the grass in order to create technology. China has too many mouths to feed, and if half of the worlds companies that use Chinese labor decide to move their businesses elswhere, the unemployment rate in China would be sky high. China has nobody to blame but themselves. I wonder how the people in Hong Kong feel about your comment.....oh wait, they cant because China has scrapped the agreement they made with the UK giving Hong Kong autonomy.

Huawei's problem is that they were banned from using TSMC to make their chips. Unless there is a local fab with a cutting edge fabrication process that doesn't use US tech, Oppo may meet the same fate.

They use it because, they are the king in the Android world. Flagships with SD865 at the same or a bit less of price of the HiSilicon crap with outdated chips.

I wonder why Google never considered making their own SoCs. They have a powerful OS in Android and with an optimized SoC they can really turn their Pixel phones into performance beasts.

If they are doing it for safe side in case they get in the entitt list (which is unlikely) than unless the can create their own cores which unlike ARM don't use US technology it's kind of a waste and if they are doing it for competition than bring it ASAP and break down the Qualcomm monopoly
