Battery charge will not even last for 18 hours under normal usage (3G mobile data* on ; all sync off ; display brightness set at 30% manually ; using apps like typemail for checking mail and rare whatsapp / SMS usage)

      * means : in the strong coverage area

Even the M31 has 6 Ampere battery. Also my Samsung A9 pro 2016 has 5 Ampere battery. So the Note 20 should have got 6.4 Ampere battery. Still Samsung Note 10+ is a superhit model that gives acceptable battery standby time.

To all : Samsung A50, A51, A70, A71 and Note 10+ are worthful models to buy rather than the S9, S10 and S20 series that give worst battery backup.

Guys how many of you would have preferred the 50MP GN1 sensor over the 108mp HM1 sensor as the main Camera on Note 20 series?

I have a feeling that, the new s20 consumes the battery faster that the s10 did. although the s20 had had a larger capacity battery. I only use the s20 on the 4G network so far.

now the note20 has to do the same now, increase the battery capacity. some parts in the 20 series might consume the power faster.

bla_bla_meh, 30 May 2020It was already said that Note20 will not have 120Hz display. Note 20 comes with standard 60hz refresh rate.
Note 20+ comes with 120hz refresh rate.

I think they are doing what Apple plans to do this year with iPhone series with lower models sporting 60hz and higher models sporting 120hz.
Both phones will also launch around the same time frame.

Every flagship in 2020 must have 5000mAh battery as standard.

                        Exynos 992 sounds really good.
Finally we can expect 2020 flagship performance from Exynos.
Don't be surprised if it tops all benchmarks from single core to multi core compared to SD865.

There can be 2 interpretations to the above statement.

                          1.
The upcoming Note20 series will be the last punching hole means that there will be a significant design change after it gets unveiled, more specifically the punch hole will be completely gone and the screen will be full of pixels from corner to corner.

                          2. The last punching hole as in the last reasonable model before Samsung loses its mind or instead gets it back together and starts making quality devices again ( AMD partnership little hint )

I think the future will be based on #1 and the latter part of #2 but we have to wait till 2021 though where the cameras and everything should be much more refined...

Anonymous, 30 May 2020But the S5 active as well as Xperia ZR and other unknown Ja... moreReality is the reason for "S-ification" of the Note series. The Note 4 and the extremely limited Note Edge are the only ones with a drastically different design than the Galaxy S. Both due to the obvious reason Samsung changed the hardware design during the summer when the Note 4 launched, with the Galaxy Alpha and the Edge model got to be the first curved screen phone because they had the tech ready by then. All other years, the Note have been a slightly bigger and slightly squarer variation of the S series.
If anything, the S series suffered from Note-ification when they launched the plus sized models.

moerutoukon, 30 May 2020I believe that this will be the last punching hole. The last punching hole was ages ago when they turned the note series into a galaxy s + pen.

It used to be "the latest and grestest", now it is a follower to the enthusiast market.

In every industry it goes like this Pro > Enthusiast > High end

Or in Samsung terms it should have been Note > S+ > S

But more or less it is like that Note = S+ = S

So you wait more, you pay more for what is more or less the same (better at some things , worse at others).

There is a reason why those phones don't sell more. It could be the high prices, but really it is the lack of value.

They killed all pro features (linux, removable battery, bigger screen than any other phone of its class, best SoC of the year, most ram possible), but they kept raising prices. They look for s*ckers....

Headphone jack removed "for more battery space" = 4300mah. Meanwhile there are phones with 5000mah-6000mah with a headphone jack. Samsung is officially the new Apple

But the fact battery-sealed smartphone started to show its blaze since 2013, simultaneously the time where IPxx rated smartphone also take a toll of trends, well, it's undeniable to see them coexist in such unprecedented time.

As for the second statement, well, I mean, there could be more factors than just that, examples: the market paradigm-shift, change in leadership, components price, and others, could play the role of why Note5 and newer have similar components to S Series, compared to Note series before Note5 (Note4,3,2, and 1)

No LTPO,QHD, external memory card slot and no 120 Hz refresh rate ☹️
