Probably they had it programed to deploy on test servers and forgot some "shutdowns" following the decision.

I just got an iPhone 11 Pro with unlimited data because it seemed like a good deal, I’m also using a Samsung A70, apart from the camera it’s like night and day, the iPhone feels like a decade older :-) it’s almost laughable if it hadn’t cost more than £600 , probably more like a £500 max phone lol.
Still I didn’t want the ghastly exynos s20 and these are the only 2 brands I stick with, apart from my one dabble with a huawei p20pro and a pixel 3a.
Apple is good at being safe but my god it feels weird using it compared to my current A70
