Unreleased Realme confirmed to be real, sadly not coming out

The CMO of Realme India says you can’t have a big battery and a flat back panel with non-protruding cameras.

I think the main reason nowadays phone manufacturers can't make flat back panel is due to the camera and they want to have slim design at the same time (less than 9mm)

What kind of joke is this? Flat back = thicker phone (logic) = more room for the battery. Wow that was hard to tell. Look at the Reno 2 and Reno 10x zoom, they are flat and thick.

I wish they made well-protected phones like Samsung Active lineup instead of a super-thin device. I'd love a new Active phone, personally. I bought a UAG case (expensive, huge, industrial, practically indestructible... piece of plastic with extra pieces of rubber) to complement my "super thin glass front glass back" Samsung phone. Because Active lineup wasn't sold in my country.

3 years later I'm still using same device, it is still in perfect condition (except I have to carry a charger with me everywhere) and I love how much bigger the device is just because of the case. No camera bump, huge tactile buttons, easy to use, drop-proof (as much as a device made of glass can be). And I'd still buy Active phone if it was available, instead of "ultra thin fantastic design, just don't touch it or it breaks and don't put it on a table due to camera bump".

Did I mention I hate camera bumps?
      I hate camera bumps.

"However, to put the camera flat under this back cover, battery size has to be significantly compromised. "

RoG Phone 2: "Hold my 6000mAh and flat cameras, double USB-C, 3.5mm, and large heat sink"

I get it, they don't want to make a phone as thick and heavy as the ROG 2, but this is just an excuse, like others have already mentioned

"However, to put the camera flat under this back cover, battery size has to be significantly compromised. "

Oh this is bull. Why not simply make the whole body slightly thicker to accommodate the battery? It's not like it would make a significant difference.

Anonymous, 03 Jun 2020Nothing about these phones they released are "stylish" - th... moreSure, ever since bezelless screens becoming a norm and those shiny colourful gradients glass body becoming a trend, all phones looked the same.

I don't understand, camera bumps are usually the thickest part of a phone. Doesn't that mean you needed to thicken the phone body (which could be more space for a bigger battery) to make the camera laid flat? Or maybe i don't grasp the CMO meaning by "put the camera flat under this back cover." Does he meant a cover accessorie?

As good as the phone gets, its useless if it doesnt get to your beloved country. Will it come to my country (indonesia)? i wouldn't know, since there's absolutely no news about it (i guess)
