Maybe for Apple selling less than 500,000 pieces of something is a catastrophic failure, but Hublot will be happy and make money, if they sell even just 10,000 of these.

What is up with those horrible and unnecessary bezel markers, on a fixed bezel no less? Not that Hublots are attractive, but do these Swiss watch companies have a different team to handle smartwatch design?

No thanks, I'll take the mechanical analogue one all day long tqvm.

Oh, nice going. Because smartphones were just too cheap, right?

Do you think that just because it will be obsolete in 3 years, Hublot will drop to $300 smartwatches? Also, be sure that after 3 years the people that can afford this, can also afford to throw it and buy a new one. Let alone that most rich people will get bored of any accessory after 3 years, whether it has become obsolete or not.
On the flip side, I'd say that even a luxury toy should put at least some effort to cover the basics, so I'd expect at least a heart rate monitor. At least the TAG Heuer Connected is more or less competitive to all other smartwatches.

The battery lasts for only a day? That's kinda weak for wearable isn't it?

Unlike swiss mechanical watches that last for decades, (Hence their prices), this will be done for in less than 3 years.

So why pricing it like it's some automatic / mechanical / timeless piece of watchmaking ?
