I will always prefer my music in my SD card or phone memory cause it is already there to be played anytime and not worrying of losing it be it illegally or not.
Cause anything you retrieve from the net means consuming data and that's a put off / big NO for me.
I rather use my data quota for other better things be it illegally or not.
The same applies to movie, that's why I don't sub Netflix, I rather download those movies be it illegally or not.

P.S YouTube Vanced used to have a feature for background playback. But the last time I used it around two months ago, that feature was removed and the developer said that they have no idea on when to bring in that feature back.

YT Music is more "youtube" than "music", at least the free version:
- pauses play after a few songs, just like youtube
- stops playback with screen off on the phone *paywall
No thanks. While these are their policies I'll stick to other options for music.

Deezer is far the best available nearly everywhere more tracks, better quality and I really like the UI, the flow feature is the best

Youtube must do something with the music app in ios because is very buggy and the interface is not optimized for the iphone screen.
