It's like turning up to a business meeting in track pants instead of sharp business attire.
Setting up doesn't take any time.
Hassle free plug and play.
I am not saying manufacturers shouldn't give integrated Webcam but they should give a better one since even high end laptops give sh*tty Webcam.
Till manufacturers do that, you are better off using an external solution like your cellphone connected to the laptop.

If I am on field, I do not want to connect to be mobile with USB, because one of my client is calling me on MS teams all of a sudden. That's convenience for me. May be you have different take. So I prefer an integrated webcam.

Now AMD is better choice for top of the line laptop cpu's. And they release U series for ultrabooks, which will deztroy intel, problem is they are scarce, but give it a time AMD will be dominating ultrabook market soon, Intel just can't compete now anyway

Laptop Webcam quality is simply subpar even on high end laptops costing 4000$.
Are you going to buy expensive laptop and use year 2003 720p Webcam recording?

Moreover, I do not want to carry one more piece of hardware. Quality I can compromise, but you may not, same goes for convenience also.

Even 4000$ laptops ship with terrible subpar quality webcams.
Most people attach an external Webcam or just use their phones front camera as Webcam via USB thereby getting much better quality.

Only The build quality is premium
but i can buy a gaming laptop at same price(amd based)
If they were looking for portability amd ryzen 4000 series was a far Better bet

Missing integrated webcam, which is very much necessary as more people are working from home now. Also no back lit key board is the biggest downer for me. And RAM is not up-gradable.

the mi notebook build quality is superb, comparable to macbook and surpasses cheap branded laptop like HP, asus, acer and lenovo. The only downside is there is no room for upgrade of ram, etc.

HP pavilion series has one with i5 10th gen and nvidia mx250. it has similar price and more service centers here, has option to add additional ram too. i skip this mi notebook

oneplus loled, 11 Jun 2020nope. they all have one ddr4 slot for you to fill.No they don't. There is no place to install even one RAM module. You get what you pay... Not worth it.
