You need to have 8+256 version as a norm and 12+512 higher variant for flagship killers and flagships. 6+128 should be norm for midrangers. Xiaomi can certainly set this trend. Waiting for 6+128 and 8+256 models of Redmi Note series with UFS 2.1 storage.

      How can I buy the zoom version in Europe? I don't need band 20! I cannot find it on aliexpress' shops used to ship with DHL without VAT.

It's just that the RAM modules are cheaper than ever so why not increase the RAM (for bragging purposes) for a cheaper price and up the total price of the phone significantly. Isn't that great for business? lol. But seriously, why wouldn't you like having 12GB RAM? The variant is just a part of variety of models to choose from. You don't like it? Then just ignore it.

          With the super high volume this model has been selling for the past 10 days, it looks like this model is being phased out and a newer version 'K30Pro 2' will be forthcoming.

              It's the regular version. The 5mp macro lens is a 2x zoom macro on the regular k30 pro

                1) Buy POCO F2 Pro w/ 6GB RAM
                2) Unlock bootloader
                3) Flash an AOSP-based custom ROM particularly one that's lightweight
                4) Congratulations, you have a better phone now. No need for 8GB or more.

The Zoom edition doesn't have a 12+128 while the non-Zoom does. Zoom edition starts at 3799 yuan for 8+128 soo...this one can't be cheaper if it was a Zoom edition.

                      What else Android companies can do, they all sell more or less same product so they have to have something to wake your interest.

                      I read somewhere that 16GB phones are coming, that’s same what my PC uses :)

                            seriously, who use 12 GB RAM in a phone?
                            using huawei nova 5t atm (not rooted nor debloated) and even when using split screen with several social media and music in the background it's barely eat 4,5 GB RAM
                            if you want to do real gaming buy a PC ffs
