Levy, 15 Jun 2020Because you can buy this phone for $100 today. You mean $30. And that's just due to a lack of stock due to this being a decade old phone so ordinarily it'd be even less.

joe nodden, 15 Jun 2020Why does that camera still compete with $100 phones from today. It doesn't. The redmi 8a has a dual pixel phase detection autofocus camera and comparing the jet to that is like comparing the first nexus to the first pixel

I used to own one and it was one of the worst phone I ever had. Hanged like anything and it spent more time at Samsung service center then in my pocket. And finally after 9 months it's processor died which Samsung replaced after 2 months of email exchanges. Finally sold it as soon as got the processor replaced. It was not more than a wallpaper viewer.

I remember when my dear friend, Fawzy Moghabghab, showed up one day toting this phone; it was a mesmerising event.

But even with extensive customizations to the UI, modern phones have a feeling sameness that phones of the past easily avoided.

It could do all the thing a modern smartphone can do today, so yes, it was a smartphone. Opening 5 tabs in the browser, multitasking were no small feat back in those days.

It looks almost exactly like it's bigger bro, the i8000 (Omnia II)

I had og for a month. I sold it and was very dissapointed. It was very slow, and it was often quite difficult to press the virtual buttons in the corners of the screen.
