Never bought one and never will. Better to get new mid range decent people which can't be bad unless you are a heavy gamer or photographer.

Most refurbished smartphones are sold in the black market. Price is around 10~30% cheaper than the official price tag.

i just dont understand whats the point of the refurbished phones ? For the price they go you can get budget to middle class phone that is way better then these refurbished phones with more features and better specs in everything.

At least for now, there's no way I'll buy a refurbished phone, Too many things to worry about. I'd rather save for a year or more and buy the latest and most powerful phone, use it for 3 or 4 years and then I repeat the cycle.

I have had battery issues with all my refurbished buys. That is why i also went new midrange android. I need a good battery. That is more important to me than some antutu points or waterproofing

While I agree with the iPhone remark, I wouldn't buy a refurbished phone. Who knows how it's been handled, where the previous owner stored it, in what conditions did he/she used it (extreme heat, extreme moisture, extreme cold, dusty environments), hands possibly dirty with toxic chemicals and such… No, thanks.

I'd rather buy a slightly slower phone, which is just released (newer OS and possibly multiple OS upgrades), than a similarly priced, slightly faster, refurbished phone (older OS, older design, possible lingering faults).

A new Android phone on the other hand is very affordable so there's no point in buying a secondhand or refurbished phone.

Imo, the only refurbished phones worth buying are the iphones.
Android manufacturers, with few exception, "forget" about their models after 2 years.
Example, buying a refurbished S9+ now in 2020. In the country where I live, one still cost much, around 350EUR. At this price, you can easily get a good mid-range phone from late 2019 or early 2020 from any manufacturer. And the differences are not that big.
