Smartphones are build for mobility & high efficiency. They will never be at the same level in computing performance, as systems that are designed at silicon level for performance, with dedicated cooling systems and high power input.

And they might surpass those console in just a matter of years. Plus there are large communities that play popular titles like PUBGM and Honor of Kings on mobile devices in Asia especially in China. Esports scene in mobile is also getting bigger every year.

I really don't get this smartphone gaming craze when their are real gaming platforms like PC, xbox or playstation. Really makes no sense.

I'll just wait to see how much the sRGB colour gamut that monitor will produce.

From most $150 gaming monitors to $500, most just suffer from something or another. Low brightness, low native response (with often unusable "gaming mode"), bad colours & clarity, etc are common issues.

Let's hope Mi upps the level.

I hope Xiaomi starts to do a budget professional color critical monitor line too like BenQ. It's sucks that almost every 10-bit monitor on sub-$1000 segment is either FRC, poorly calibrated, bad panel uniformity, or still on Full-HD. Even professional monitoring brand like Flanders is still happily selling FRC 10-bit at thousands of dollars.

With blingy RGB fashion and gaming peripheral coming into trend these days, monitor manufacturers often focusing on "faster" refresh rate dan response rate too much while ignoring other quality factors on the display panel itself.

R1V4L, 13 Jun 2020It's good that 4k monitor's refresh is evolving so fast, bu... moreNot all games are meant to be maxed out in every attribute possible.

Sky high fps is a priority for online games only, which also don't focus too highly on ray tracing and quality factor and all..

For artistic games, you're looking at minimum 60-80 fps, anything above is an advantage you enjoy only when doing fast 180* turns or so, which makes no sense.

Plus, these monitors are just being future proof. Nothing wrong with that.
Probably, GTX 4080 will bring what you need, then you won't change the monitor.

It's good that 4k monitor's refresh is evolving so fast, but what aboit the next generation of video cards? RTX 3080 Ti should be twice as faster as the previous generation, and that isn't good enough to reach 165 fps in an RTX ultra enabled game, because the previous generation was barely reaching 60 fps in some titles.

That design doesn't look budget at all. No bezels and Apple would charge you $999 for that monitor stand.
