Yet it's supposed to have a new all-screen-design as it is normal these days with only the dimensions and maybe the backside of the original Mi 6. So probably no bezels, home button and no micro SD slot. The Mi 9 SE would have been a decent phone for me if it had a better SoC and battery but it still was a little uncomfortable to hold in my hands with its flat backside.

I also hope they retain the bezels and FPS/home button as on the Mi 6. Just with the addition of an mSD card slot. The Mi 5, Mi 6, Huawei P10 were the last of the reasonably sized flagship phones.

Yet there's rumor that Xiaomi is currently working on a Mi 6 successor with the body and the dimensions of the original, called Mi 7 or Mi 6 2020 Edition or similar. I hope they gonna stay with 2 or 1 cams on the back, 4G network, put a 4000mAh battery in it and choose a SD855(+) or the unannounced SD775 as SoC. Price would be fine at 300€ (China) for me.

Anonymous, 13 Jun 20207a was the last decent small phone from them.. I hate as we... moreTrue. However, the S10e is/was barely available in most markets. Same with the A20e and the A40. The 7A was still a tad large for a 5.4-inch screen and had a MicroUSB port in 2019. Would actually like something under 70mm width. Yet, with no other compact option, I would have taken the 7A if it had a fingerprint reader. There are the Pixels of course, but they aren't worth half their money and I am not a fan of stock Android.
Hopefully the upcoming 5.4-inch iPhone 12 will get the Android OEMs (who love copying all the negatives of Apples) to out decently equipped 5.4-inch options of their own.

I hate as well this growing in size/inches trend ... its horrible... best small phones for me nowadays are s10e redmi 7a and the iPhone se2 all other phones are trashes..

While cutting down on features, camera lenses, SoCs, would anybody also consider cutting down on size. So the 9 A/C, the 9 and the Note 9 series are all the same dimensions, give or take one millimeter. Is the market really fine with such a lack of choice and variety?
