While android apps generally aren't optimised for tablets, Dex is a very good tool that allows proper multitasking. iPad pros have all that power but isn't making use of most of it

A proper android tab would have been 10.5 and 12.5 inch versions. 12gb of ram minimum, latest soc, linux support. The end.
What samsung offers? Gimmicks like 120 hz display (completely irrelevant to non artists and artists going to buy the ipad pro anyway), dex instead of linux on dex, 6gb ram. Weak stuff.
S5E remains the peak of Samsung tabs (midranger too, but at least you can complete work on it due to running Ubuntu)...

As a comparison, my iPad Pro 10.5, 2017 model has 3910 single score and 9538 for multi with 3.90 RAM and 2.34 GHz. In other words Samsung offers what Apple had over three years ago. The Tab is just slightly higher in gbenches but significantly lower in the all important GHz.

Finally, a serious well-spec Android tablet. If Samsung price the Galaxy Tab S7 series reasonably, they're going to sell like hotcakes.

If they price this reasonably then yeah, it could end up as a good competitor tablet.
But that won't happen. No matter what, Samsung just like their phones will overprice this again, and it won't sell well.
I don't even need to mention the fact that this Tablet won't ship with the latest Android, and that it will be the last in the line to receive software updates.
Even the cheaper Samsung phones, especially one from the new M class receave and have receaved software updates faster then their top tier Tablet lineup.
Then people question themselves why is iPad better and so successive.
p.s I've been a long term Samsung user, and I will be.

Anonymous, 14 Jun 2020then postpone the release one month. no that hard is it ehIt's not as simple as that, this is not a smartphone, it's a tablet, and android isn't optimised for tablets, Samsung has to do a lot of work to optimise the software, and they have to work on more important things like Dex and S pen features, what is this major thing android 11 is going to bring that the one ui 2.0 on the S6 doesn't already have. So it will be released with android 10 and upgraded later.

Sony at least brought ldac, unlike others, but even that is lossy tech.
You may have dsd files and planar earphones or 5000euro stereo, but if you use bluetooth you lose detail no matter how the rest sounds.
Having great device with dongle is still better than poor hw with a jack, its such a hassle though, you may as well not buy smart-phone but dedicated device, always wearing dongle or swearing not having it with you... I tried.
