      >>> All that is true only in the US.
In Other parts of the world, ppl don't care about handicapped operating system like iOS.
They want something that simply works and is easy to use and offers seamless connectivity without the hassles of iTunes or any other restrictions. They also get a variety of choice which is non existent in the Apple ecosystem.
Not to forget, Android being easier on their wallet while offering better experience.
Only ppl in US are Dum*ed down to the point they think the world revolves around them.

The best selling iPhones weren't the top model but the cheapest model.

Not everyone needs to buy top of the line flagships.

Even budget devices on Android can get the job done.
Just like you don't need to buy a Lamborghini or a Ferrari for your basic daily commute, most people don't need to spend 1000 dollars for a usable phone.

Marketshare tells you which brand ppl prefer.
IOS is laughable in that department.
        Piss poor 20% marketshare.

These stats make a lot of sense, anyone looking for a true premium smartphone goes and gets an iPhone and the iPhone 11 is the entry point of premium smartphones,it has a top chip and will get updates longer than some crapdroid flagships released this year and next year. :)

Amazing that 11 Pro Max is second, it really has no competition in its segment as it is made out of stainless steel while the droid flagships are made out of the same aluminum as the standard iPhone 11.

People who buy androids usually by cheap $99 to $200 droids, nobody really buys android flagships, that’s why most android makers barely make profit.

lol it's hilarious when Apple does well, the haters won't call out faults for Android OEMS for their shortcomings in marketing but instead, totally rage and bash on ordinary people for being blind and stupid instead, as though that'll help their cause.

Yes, yes insult everybody's intelligence and belittle them, that'll DEFINITELY help people sympathise with you hahahahah

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2020Just buy Xiaomi Mi 10 and enjoy. It is very powerful phone.... more5G and 8K resolution are only party tricks and as of yet especially for 5G have no real world grip to be something that should only make your phone of choice the one you buy.

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2020Thats true, but 600$ for a phone is not premium (anymore), ... moreSince the choice is limited/non-existent when it comes to top performance compact phones in the Android world + the price hike, even as an Android user for many years, I started to think about iphones for my next phone upgrade. it was brief and I changed my mind in the end, but had to really consider it you know.

One good thing about Apple is having a good user experience overall, even on their low end device (SE 2).

In Android, the user experience on a 4xx vs 8xx is night and day. There's a reason why Qualcomm is emphasizing a lot on 6xx and 7xx, as in to minimize the gap between a good user experience. Also, credit to Android as an OS for improving on this front.

No one's born with a tech literate mind. The first thing any tech literate company should do is understand their userbase and assuming them as much tech illiterate as possible. There's a reason why UX is a thing and is emphasized upon. Post Android 8, now even android is emphasizing lot on it.

Too many people buy Apple. OnePlus 8 Pro is the best phone in the market in my opinion, followed by the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. The S20 Ultra would have been up there if it wasnt for the crappy CPU.

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2020Why apple sells the most premium phones : 1. That logo. Le... more"That logo. Let's be serious here, if a samsung phone had a apple logo and apple-esq design, what will the sales be ? It'll sell a lot. "

That's not really true, there was times when Samsung flagship phones sold 70 million in year, logo is no problem, user experience is. When Samsung copied iPhone brand in many years ago with their galaxy line their sales were very high and Samsung was Android world "iPhone" People just noticed over the years that it's not iPhone and over the years people switched other phones and brands while sametime iPhone users keep staying with iPhone.

Sure the logo matters, but it took many many years to build what that logo means for potential users when they buy their product. And you can't do that if your product aren't great value. Samsung had all the change to get into same situation, but their product just weren't good enough, i think the problem was Android experience.

Of course it is, in the world where people keep their phones longer and longer Android companies gives you pathetic 2 years support while Apple gives you 5 years! I mean how many times people want to get screwed? Clearly not anymore because less and less people are buying Android flagship phones. They just aren't worth of the price.

People are ready to pay lot for iPhone because they know they will get very long support and great experience for many years and when they want to upgrade resell price is very high for their current phone.

There are great advantages when you arrive early to the party.

Apple arrived early and entrenched themselves in the one place that cannot be won over by logic or reason : the mindspace. It's very hard to get people to change their minds once they have set their opinions, that's why people act crazy for sports teams or why people believe in one political ideology or anything...concerning theology.

The word "phone" is right now synonymous to an Apple iPhone for many people. Kids, teenagers, grandmas, soccer moms, bankers, businessmen...the majority of non-tech literate people don't know or care for other brands since a phone = iPhone for such people. If they want a phone, then they purchase the iPhone. No other brand even comes to their mind. Doesn't matter if the iPhone is more expensive, fragile, locked down, feature less, got a poor display, comes with garbage quality cables...it doesn't matter since Apple owns the mindshare.

That does wonders for a company which wants to capitalize on consumer loyalty and consumer ignorance. Apple got a lot of good points too, but IMHO is an iPhone worth it and deserves it's place in these kind of charts? Maybe. But is it value for money in light of all the other competition? Nope.

Only because many markets did not allow competition like Huawei, Honor, zippo etc....Apple dominance is very manipulated one in the current circumstances as people are denied of choices
