Everybody seems to forget that nokia were bringing out some really bad phones to the point when the nearly died. And ericsson did die until sony bought the company and started adding mp3 players and cybershot cameras to the phones. Every mobile phone company has bad runs at some point or another. And don't forget that motorola bought out the first mobile phone so show some respect. Oh and who cares about 5mp cameras. Go out and by a real digital camera with 8 or more mp

Adding UMA is not more innovation my dear.
Samung/Nokia has it for long.
Samung P200
Nokia 6301, 6136

i dont think u really read this article.
this Z6w UMA support is what every phone should have. not just "lets throw in more pixels into this thing"
this is what makes the brand different. innovation.

It's pretty sad that the new slew of phones at MWC are not that great. But remember, Motorola's business is weakening, so maybe it cannot afford any more backdrops and thus just showing their recent line-up of phones. It's too full of internal problems to develop another phone or show its upcoming ones like the Zine and the Texel. Its development has gone into a standstill due to top Moto officials fixing their internal structure.
But just you wait, Moto will strike back someday. It has gone into a recession, but it will recover. The USA has experienced the Great Depression in the old days and still is as powerful as hell today, right? Motorola just got into its own depression but it will struggle and prosper after some time. Just you wait.

Being an avid Moto fan for years...what a disappointment to see the 2008 lineup. A good high end, high spec phone as an image builder will stop their downward sales spiral-such an obvious business rule..South African

the reason no one wants to buy motorola is because they are not producing any thing that the younger buyers want.
if they were to produce a handset with a 5mp camera, wifi and hsdpa then perhaps they would be in with a shout however it doesnt seem as though motorola do not want to put the money in to get the results that would get them back as a top handset manufacturer.....sorry but it really is goodbye moto!!!!

I agree with most user comments on that the Moto selection is absolute crap. I do like the z6w with wifi is a step in the right direction but if they would have included a 3.0 megapixel and windows mobile or symbian, it would have actually been something interesting. Why include an OS that there is little software support for ?
You guys are correct, moto is getting ready to sellout or die.

Sony Ericsson announced X1, 2 Cyber-hot fones, two clams with HSDPA support, and 2 daily organizers.
Nokia announced the 16 gigs worth N96, a Nseries with 3.2MP (it's AF!!), a Navigator, and a xenon flash equipped 5MP cameraphone.
LG announced beautiful innovative sliders.
Samsung announced G810, F480, and the folks.
Motorola announces Z6w(hat?) and Wxxx (wadefak! I can't even remember the index!!).
Yeah, Moto have died. It's on journey to heaven now. Or hell?

Looking at the same old designs from Motorola Team only means one thing: They have already given up.
Hello, Goodbye Moto... So sad... Long Live Nokia and Sony Ericsson!
