My opinion is that, leave phones and portable devices for productivity and work, while actually get a gaming pc or a console to play heavy demanding games. I do not see the reason of playing fortnite on a phone if that will reduce battery life, make phone overheat, and not be able to be smooth on most devices. The one plus 8, costs 700 and the pro costs 1000, but with around 500 dollars, you could get a decent gaming pc that will play fortnite at 1080p max settings 60 fps, or low settings and 144+ fps.

    (2) Anybody with actual work to do will use a laptop. Because iPads are useless. They're too big to carry around in your pocket. But too weak to run anything demanding. And use ARM so they can't run any proper software. Even typing documents is better on a laptop.

    (3) Good, if we're both in agreement that everybody knows how ram works, then you agree with my point that Androids are superior when it comes to memory, and therefore should have the advantage in running games. Because a game like Fortnite can't run properly on 4 gigs. Let alone 4 gigs of LPDDR4X memory instead of LPDDR5.

Hello Life, 25 Jun 2020you are just ignoring the fact that optimizing a game like ... moreOnce again, learn to read. I didn't say it stutters at 8 gigs. I said it hardly runs properly with 8 gigs. I said it stutters with 4. How many times do I need to tell you to learn how to read? You're willing to go through the effort of typing a 201 word reply but not willing to even read my reply properly?

joe nodden, 24 Jun 2020Don't "kid" me when you're the little kid who doesn't know ... moreyou are just ignoring the fact that optimizing a game like fortnite is impossible for every device out there. No fortnite doesn't stutter at 8GB RAM. I get 165 fps locked without any 1% lows with my gtx 1650 at 1080p competitive . Yes with 8GB of Ram. Fortnite mobile is much much lighter. 6-8Gb depending on the platform. Whereas the fortnite PC is hovering around 80+ GB. So forget RAM, that's not a bottleneck. If it was then Ipads would run it worse than android. By android I don't mean everyone out there. EVen the highly optimized ones like S9, note 9 and later samsung flagships. Epic clealry said they optimised these devices and now one plus 8 pro. So what can be the limitation? either it's hardware and I mean GPU and CPU alone, or it's the very problem of android that stops developers to optimize in android properly. No this isn't epic's problem only. Even PUBG runs better on ios devices from 2015 . Try that on Galaxy s5 or Google pixel.

MY final point is, it's not always the optimization.. the problem mostly lies in if it is possible to optimize that particular software for such a diversified OS.

Stay out of this. You have zero clue what you're talking about. Even less so than "Hello Life".

Hello Life, 24 Jun 2020Look kid, more memory doesn’t always mean the app needs tha... moreDon't "kid" me when you're the little kid who doesn't know what he's talking about. Yes Fortnite does need more memory. It hardly runs properly on PCs with 8 gigs of RAM. And stutters dramatically on PCs with 4 gigs. Because all those textures and models use up way more than 4 gigs with even slightly above low quality settings. And I can see you love those Apple articles about Metal that will only educate you about PCIe bandwidth. That's an entirely different area of concern. And unless you want to find the information for me to prove me wrong that the Adreno 650 is bottlenecked by the bandwidth available to it via how its connected to the 865, (because that's the only way it could be undergoing a bandwidth bottleneck) you have no business bringing that up. Because that information isn't available anywhere. Unless you were wrong and meant to say GPU memory bandwidth bottleneck. Which is exactly why I brought up the LPDDR5 memory with greater bandwidth than the LPDDR4X memory found in the 11 Pro Max. And in terms of speed I suppose UFS 3.1 storage and NVME trade blows, so that can be ignored. UFS 3.1 storage beats NVME when it comes to sequential read and write speeds. But loses when it comes to random. And your example for optimization isn't good. The Exynos 9810 overheats. The 675 doesn't. Because Samsung doesn't know how to make a reliable SoC. But even ignoring that, this whole argument is about Epic not optimizing their game as well as they should. No duh I know the benefits of better optimization.

joe nodden, 23 Jun 2020I literally just said what made me think like this. Why ask... moreAnd wow, just like past 2019 me, who thought the amount of ram is everythin, there's a reason why iPhones and iPads don't boast 10GB RAM, 12GB RAM, 16 GB RAM, their OS is optimised to need as little ram as possible, and a 4GB RAM iPhone 11 Pro max is still bearing most if not all android phones with double or more the amount of RAM in useless speed test that alot of "tech thusiasts" care about, and UFS 3.1 over NVME? Quot joking, you're talking about storage used ton computers and comparing it to mobile phone storage, and plus if you're all aboit numbers then apple dominates geekbench

Hello Life, 23 Jun 2020I realised it is pointless talking with you. Your power of ... moreImagine judging a device's performance based entirely on numbers, I used to be that type of guy, it let me learn when i bought a Mi 9 and totally hyped up the 12 Gigs of ram on it and top 3 antutu score at it's time

joe nodden, 23 Jun 2020I literally just said what made me think like this. Why ask... moreSo he uses hands down the most powerful and probably best taboet as an example and you call that "fanboying", interesting, so basically he can't speak any good of Apple because it's "fanboying", rather hate the iPhone users than the products

joe nodden, 24 Jun 2020Oh yes how dare I look at actual benchmarks and specifications. Look kid, more memory doesn’t always mean the app needs that much, and it also doesn’t translate to faster texture loading. It depends on the GPU bandwidth. You won’t understand all this. Regarding storage, apple uses NVME storage which is faster than UFS 3.1. Regarding software and hardware, i never said android devices are inferior in either. I said they don’t work as integrated as ios. So developers have to make an app for android which is one size fits all. That is why even if they optimise for lets say s20, it won’t run as good in Galaxy A50, unless you optimise for that phone. This is very easy to understand. There are 1000 different android phones and it’s impossible for any developer to optimise each and every one. Even pubg runs differently on different android devices. That’s why even exynos 9810 stutters but entry level 675 doesn’t as much. Whereas, with apple, the ios is designed differently with metal api platform, which means, you Can very easily optimise all the devices without having to Tweak every single device.

Hello Life, 23 Jun 2020I realised it is pointless talking with you. Your power of ... moreOh yes how dare I look at actual benchmarks and specifications.

joe nodden, 23 Jun 2020I literally just said what made me think like this. Why ask... moreI realised it is pointless talking with you. Your power of understanding is not so good and you also don’t have proper knowledge of hardware. I realised this as soon as you started measuring a device’s performance by antutu, storage type and ram size.

Hello Life, 22 Jun 2020Yup, tell me one single reason why they won’t try? What mad... moreI literally just said what made me think like this. Why ask a question that's already been answered? Ark did it. They have several interactive elements and way better graphics in that game.

On top of your question that makes no sense, you even started being a fanboy to Apple out of nowhere. You said before, "Even ipad pro with itÂ’s massively powerful gpu, stutters here and there with lot of ghosting and frame drops" but in this reply you're all of the sudden attacking android software and hardware and saying it's worse than iOS. You admitted that the best of iOS devices can't handle it properly so why are you acting like they're worlds better? And no no no, Android hardware is better than Apple's. Antutu bud. Only Apple's tablets (that can't be compared to phones because they're way larger and thus have way more room for cooling and components) win. iPhones are slower. Both in terms of CPU and GPU benchmarks. And on top of it, Androids have both UFS 3.1 storage, and DDR5 memory to work with. (And multiple times the memory) So way shorter loading times and way fewer popping in textures should be the result of that. But alas, because of Epic's terrible optimization, that's not the case.

joe nodden, 22 Jun 2020It's optimization. They could easily get a game like that r... moreYup, tell me one single reason why they won’t try? What made you think like this? Do you even play this game? If you had, you wouldn’t talk like this. I know what you are thinking.. lol.. Try to watch one event of fortnite, you will understand How big they are, for every event they hire the biggest djs, trending musicians, and Spend a lot of time in giving us a fun experience. Just watch the steve aoki event. They have got the time, dedication and money to optimise android to its limit. They even partnered with samsung and oneplus, and you think they don’t care? They do and really want to have a share in android’s huge userbase, but alas, the android hardware and software can never be as good as a combination as ios. It’s the defect of android which makes it so open. And that’s the biggest limitation.
