Irrespective of the TFT display tech(IPS or PLS). AMOLED is obviously better and Exynos 850 is worse in raw performance when compared to Exynos 9611.
So compared to the prices of other Galaxy devices in this range, this definitely is a bad device from samsung. They are trying to maximize their profit with this and no one in their right mind should purchase this device.

You surely know everything except the subject you're talking now.
There are two type of TFT panels commonly. IPS/PLS and TN.
So, that makes IPS a TFT display.
Also before talking ignorantly about viewing angle, 2 things you should know.
1. TN panel has bad viewing angle. But when you say TFT has bad viewing angle it proves you lack knowledge on this subject. Because a good viewing IPS/PLS is also a TFT panel.
2. Samsung PLS has better viewing angle than IPS.

IPS is not TFT and TFT is not the same as IPS. They bouth work with different enginiering, even if some might call it slight improvements, they are actually huge improvements. As for TFT, it is an very old LCD tehnology, it is clear to understand why people complain. Samsung might have improved the TFT panel, it is still not that great. Of course, if you do not mind not being able to look at the screen from 300 angles, don't mean other also don't, and their are way more other shortcomings into TFT. So they complain. All this being said with the "i couldn't care less about samesung" in mind.

It looks like this phone is the successor of A30s. It has the same screen resolution, slighlty better main camera, additional macro camera, bigger battery and sold at the same price. And it is overpriced just like A30s.

Why are people complaining about this phone ?
This is literally the best midrange phone Samsung has released this year.
Do you stupid people want all the phone to be a gaming phone ?
This phone with this SoC is going to be battery Champion. My guess is at least 150 hours endurance rating on GSMARENA(if the screen is efficient enough).
And some stupid people are complaining the display to be TFT. This is not just TFT. For your knowledge, IPS is also TFT.
PLS is a Samsung improvement version of IPS.
In a sentence the advantage of PLS is.
If you buy both PLS and IPS display spending 10$ for each the PLS display will be better than IPS.

What a useless launch! These specs belong on a 8000 device not on a 16000 device. 720p tft screen, low spec processor, plastic frame and back. There is nothing in this phone that justifies its price.
